Wouldn't be surprised to see Benning sign at least one middling UFA defenseman like Michael Stone or Frans on. Biega needs to be veteran presence/playing coach in Utica. His work ethic would be a nice example for all the youth that I hope we end up with there over the next few seasons.

Only NYI Snow is an idiot who just took on a 6 million dollar contract in Eberle for 2 more years (and he has declined pretty bad recently), while EDM takes on a decent player in Strome with a 1 year 2.5 mill cap hit. If EDM retained some $, I would say this is a better deal.

Yeah I dont like this deal for NYI, though I am probably higher on Strome than his inconsistent performance justifies. This is just more patchwork stuff to keep Tavares happy/around, their fans deserve better than Snow
