Why would Vegas be interested in giving up 1st round picks? They don't need to win now. They need to start winning in a couple years with their picks and when the novelty wears off.

I'd have Emelin/Garrison/McNabb/Methot/Miller/Schmidt/Schlemko/TVR all ranked ahead of him. Don't know much about Merrill to comment. Engelland you can make a case for.

I'd believe McPhee is open for business until game 1 starts.
I think he has many more moves to make & can take any form.
Waivers will be a challenge in itself.

He was added by NYI plus picks to keep Vegas away from other players.

Idk. Garrison & Emelin won't fetch anything til maybe the TDL.
From there i can see maybe 2-3 at most moved before the season if lucky.
I'm with Button that the quantity is lacklustre other than a few.
Methot Theodore McNabb Merrill Sbisa van Riemsdyk r who i like.
The rest r nothing much IMO & r depth D fillers at best

Nice seems to be the operative word. They will get decent players but I am not sure about outstanding players.

Assuming that because Sbisa is gone we are now instant cup-contenders.

The thing that became apparent to me over the last few days is how far we have fallen.Our roster is so bad we became an afterthought to Vegas about what player they wanted.

We have taken over as the butt end of criticism and the over all image of this franchise is somewhat embarrassing.

We do have some pieces like Bo Boeser OJ but how do they rank ?

It does anger me to see them keep resorting back to things they are familiar with Like Miller , or if they extend the twins .

I would like to see Glass taken this year and for Benning to do whatever he has to do to get another top ten pick to get Pettersson . Fix the Center issue this year and next year move to fixing the D

Personally, I don't care what the team does, we're never going to be able to truly compete until Edmonton, Calgary and Phoenix trend down. So having Miller and the twins while slowly rebuilding the prospect pool isn't going to hurt us much. I don't see us being able to compete for at least 7-8 years so why worry about 3 players who will retire long before then. It's not like at this point they'll be eating up the amount of cap they have now and not like the cap won't increase to more than make up for it.

When the argument is Sbisa or Gaunce. Yes we need better changes. Anything from the Kesler trade is gone. As are lots of moves management has made. This team and its state are now squarely planted on Jim Bennings shoulders. He needs to make a splash before the season starts. I doubt it though. I think he will be done after the season.
