Anaheim was not losing Vatanen for nothing. If they were not working out a trade with Vegas, they would have trade him elsewhere. Same goes for Dumba. - deadpoulet
...yes but then that other team that would've gotten him would've had to protect him...so someone else on their current protected list would've been made available...

I'm not as convinced as you about Tuch and Theodore.... I feel like neither are as good as Dumba or Vatanen.
Guess time will tell if McPhee was right. - Scabeh
Got to see Haula quite a bit against the Jets. He's a good 3rd of 4th line player but works his ass off. Like I said he'll be a fan favorite.
I like Tuch. Big kid who can skate. Saw him in a preseason game (yeah I know preseason) and he was the most noticable player on the ice.
Dumba is an RFA in a year and will want pretty good money, despite being a wildcard defensively.
Stoner isn't bad, and being a UFA at the end of the year will be flipped. Theodore is a great skater (almost a Vatanen clone) who's going to be someone they build around.
They would have been better right away picking Dumba and Vatanen. But they got young kids that can contribute now and will still be with the team in 5 years.
I see his line of thinking...but...at the end of the day it's the same guy that traded Erat for Forsberg. |

MTL had/has interest in Scandella, but when MIN/MTL/TB were talking last week that led to Drouin deal, didn't sense MIN high on Galchenyuk. - WaterBoy

You guys think Philly will trade the 2nd to Vegas for the 6th and 13th? I'd do it. |

+ he must be a good defensive LD. Otherwise, his stats suck.

Can't see this trade go 1 for 1. Not even Bergevin is that dumb. |
