Columbus is still laughing at that one. - Scabeh
Watched a show on that draft, it followed Doug MacLean around, if I remember correctly, he drafted Brule because he was his son's favourite player.. |

So we have about $23 million in cap space and no centres or LD. I wonder what moves MB has up his sleeve because now we have obvious concerns all over the place. I don't think MB ever had a plan to begin with. |

Drouin and/or Galchenyuk could play center. Losing 3 LD in a row hurt a lot, but I at least expect Markov to sign here.
They could always sign a guy in UFA or make a trade with one of their wingers. |

I think, we can kiss our draft picks goodbye for a while ... let the other team's plugs come in.
Not that those draft picks would have ended being developed properly anyway ... |

Don't think they'll have problems replacing Emelin's 4.1M$ cap hit for a better left Dman |

I don't think we've ever had this much cap space available to deal with? We could get some good pieces as long as MB gets creative and doesn't load up on 5th liners. |

The funny part to me is Emelin not even thinking of the potential of the possibility of maybe stirring something with such a poor timing. - Not_Yan
The rumor was there anyway as he is the pick. We'll see tonight I guess.

I'm really OK with Emelin leaving but with him and Beaulieu gone, our left side will need some help. |

I had this conversation the other night. Might as well trade our picks because we can't develop. And if we are "ALL IN" right now.........makes no difference in the short term. At this rate we'll be rebuilding in 4 years tops. MB needs to show Price that he's willing to build something that can contend?? |

Of course Markov will re-up with the Habs.
Last week Habs were missing a LD to play with Weber, assuming Markov plays on the 2nd paring and one of Emelin, Beaulieu, Davidson or Jerabek play on the 3rd pair.
as of today, Habs are still missing a LD to play with Weber.
No big deal. |
