It would go against Hextalls WHOLE philosophy he has been preaching.

If MAF is involved I will throw a bull shark onto the ice during the home opener!

- Glak18

Not advocating for it but it wouldn't exactly be against his philosophies. I'd anticipate the return would be the 3 first round picks LV has acquired. If Hexy is worried about Patrick it really is the route to go. That being said, here's hoping Patrick is a Flyer.

I repeat...

Unless Vegas wants to give us 5 1st round picks and the conditional 7th (condition being GMGM and GMRH have a 10 round UFC cage match) they can (frank) off

No clue and never heard of him.

What could possibly come from Vegas to get number 2?

#6
2018 unprotected 1st rounder
Vegas picks goalie and send to Flyers
young unprotected prospect

Still i can't see how moving a possible future number 1 franchise center

Would be a move from #6 to #2 for Vegas and could involve other draft picks/players the #GoldenKnights acquire in the expansion draft.

Not many, if any, players I see exposed would I trade the #2 for.

If we trade the return better be magnificent: I tried trading up to #1 (from #2) in NHL17 and damnit they denied #2, an additional 1st rounder this draft, 2018 1st, and a 2019 1st. AND trade difficulty was on easy

Even that deal from Vegas's point of view doesn't make a lot of sense. They should be making as many high end picks as possible to build up their farm system.

Ok you got me there...if it was a huge amount of 1st round picks or top level prospects. As for the picks...depends on the teams and year.

People can justify all they want that this is a "weak" draft, but high end talent is high talent. I don't want 3 1st rounders this year.

Yeah I would need a lot.

Like I would just prefer Hextall pick the guys for Vegas and then say "ok, I'll take these guys and these picks."

Yeah doesn't sound like he knows much of anything. Great speculated return, Breaking News: Vegas will use all assets available to them to make a trade!

You asked who Matthew Sekeres was and figured it was the person you quoted. It's from the tweet.

Now I feel better that it's from a twit no body.

It was rhetorical.

Vegas is much better off using all of these picks to draft and develop. One player isn't going to get them anywhere. Rick Nash cough cough.

There's no way that was on easy because you can trade Hagg and a 1st for 1st overall without fail. Then you trade Schenn and a 2020 1st for 2nd OA and have both Patrick and Hischier.

You have to adjust Nico's stats though he's rated pretty poorly in game.

Hockey purposes I agree. For Marketing purposes...Patrick makes a whole lot of sense for them.

Honestly Patrick is rated kinda poorly as well. His skating in game is poop and he has no defense at all.

I bump him and Nico up to 70 overall with medium elite potential. Patrick topped out as a top line winger and Nico was 2C

Not sure if this is out there, but rumblings that #VegasGoldenKnights could acquire #2 overall pick from #Flyers via their expansion bounty

I promise you it was, I even quit my franchise mode and made sure it was on easy bc I couldn't believe it! And the best part was the additional 2017 1st was like 8th or 10th. Their pick wasn't "red" either for desire to trade. That's exactly what I wanted to do, but I wanted Patrick bc he goes 1st everytime. Yeah Nico I think starts at like 55 overall when you draft but has the elite potential

It's a close call, but I am Team Nolan as well. I feel he fits better with the Flyers current and future makeup of the team.

Nico Hischier may be a more dynamic player than Patrick, but I don't see him ready for the NHL next year. I personally think if he makes the Devils he will struggle a bit at first. That will determine whether he becomes a good NHL player, a dynamic superstar or a pressured 1st pick bust.

- Glak18

Nico looks like a superstar.

I have a feeling Patrick will be more of a lower-end 1C, above-average 2C.

I changed Provy's potential to franchise once, after the 16-17 season he was a 96!

So Grant McCagg just tweeted the following

"I can't shake the feeling that Philly will do some dealing with Vegas & others.. end up with the 6th pick & 3 first rounders by draft day"

I asked for clarification on twitter, and he said 3 total firsts, then went on to say he believes Glass could be a top line center... the more I think about this, the more I would be ok with this going down.

Thoughts.

Where are you guys in terms on your thoughts of Giroux and Voracek? I feel if we draft Nolan Patrick, while Provorov and Konecny come into their own quick. This should create more rope for those two to hang them selves with. A team of Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, Schenn, Couturier, Gostisbehere, Provorov, Konecny and Patrick should push us back into the playoffs and contend in the near future, right?

I usually deal away all picks after 2019 because I know I'll get bored before I get that far in game.
