Why don't you check on his Corsi rating, way below average, way below.
He played those mins. because Meyers was gone and others were hurt.

forget who you cheer for and then see. Dont waste your mind, use it and watch.
And hopefully you will see. There is absolutely no team that will give them a
1st round pick and a top 6 for him. He is not a smart player, i have to say he is not bad, but not smart.

I trade every single player not named Scheifele, Laine, or Wheeler before I even think about moving Trouba (unless he asks for it). He's legitimately a top 10 defenceman in the world these days. Not a Karlsson, obviously (nobody else is), but he's hanging around the single digits somewhere.

Trouba is actually the best player on either team not named Wheeler or Matthews at this point. Also, you may want to check his Corsi rating relative to the rest of the Jets. He drags a lot of people (Stuart, Lowry, etc.) up with him.

Jets have enough cap space and should lock him up long term for 6.5M per if possible. Byfuglien is still amazing but getting old so they need someone good as RD for when he declines. Myers is not the answer either with all his injuries.

hedman, stralman, karlsson, ekblad, letang, werenski, keith, josi, subban, suter, giordano, doughty, ekman larsson, burns, vlassic, weber, petrangelo Lindholm. all better off the top of my head. Could make an argument for Hamilton, Ekholm, Ellis, Carlsson Mcdonaugh, Gardiner, Parayko, Jones, Faulk and even Rielly although he did have a bad year was playing top pairing with Ekblad for team N.A while trouba was 7th or 8th dman less than a year ago.

Trouba most likely doesn't crack the top 20 let alone 10.

Hedman, Karlsson, OEL, and Lindholm are the only better ones on that list. Arguments can be made for Letang, Doughty, Vlassic, Letang, and Ekholm/Ellis. Everyone else is either aging (Kieth, Stralman), injured to the point of affecting play (Ekblad), are completely and consistently overrated (Suter, Pietrangelo, Faulk, Reilly), or are missing pieces of their game (Werenski-defence, Josi-defence, Burns-DEFENCE). The ones I didn't list are just not on the elite tier, and never really have been.

No one is taking Weber over Trouba at this point, or Keith along with a few others. What I think is missed is this: He's a top pairing D man and they cost a ton whether you agree with his value or not.

Never said he wasn't worth a lot or that he wasn't worth more than some or most of the guys on the list due to age, contract or potential. I was arguing the fact that he's not a top 10 d in the league right now. If there was a team looking to win this year and the contract was not a factor there's at least 20 guys on that list that they would take over trouba. I would say trouba is currently somewhere between 25 to 35 in the league. He's a top pairing D man but I don't thing he's a sure fire number 1 yet.

If Chevy packaged petan with dano so Vegas doesn't take enstrom, I will not be happy
