Funny I said hard pass on Methot, but if Vegas wasn't too outrageous on value, this D lineup would be much deeper. Better than playing with practically 4 defensemen vs Washington once Polak went down.

Miller is 5 years younger right shot put up more pts playing less minutes and had better shot suppression numbers.

There's likely side deals in place with Vegas for them not to pick the best players left unprotected (like NYI, ANA, etc.).

Presumably the price is a 1st round pick and/or prospect, how can somebody like TO leverage this with a 3-way deal?

i.e. TO sends something like Bracco, Nielsen and a 1st to ANA for Vatanen; ANA keeps Nielsen and sends Bracco and a 1st to VGK to keep them from taking Vatanen.

Feels like more than what we'd pay for Vatanen straight up, does it not?

JUSt seems like a wide gap of talent on that list.... dumba and emelin is the same breathe? Dumba cost likely as much as the likes of dehaan and s a Della who weren't mentioned. And some likely under the radar types like pysyk and mcnab not mentioned? But we going after emelin? (frank) that may as well keep hunsuck
