Holland is an idiot and is mad he was almost taken to arbitration by Mrazek. Sure he struggled this past season but prior to that he showed the ability to be a top 10 NHL goalie.

Mrazek is a big game goalie that has a strong track record.

Not questioning he has talent. Not sure I'd go top 10 goalie, but goalies in general are so hard to predict until they've put in 2-3 good years. He may be a gamble worth taking, I just personally wouldn't. Plenty of promising young goalies implode.

They bad attitude reports are everywhere though. And they seem backed up when his own GM exposes him. That doesn't happen just off a contract squabble. Vegas will likely have more than one good goalie and should weigh what happens if supposed starter gets unseated.

Those guys flew all over the place, but pretty certain he lined up as a LW. I can think of a couple key goals down the right side, but also quite a few finding space on the left side of the goal.

Also when the GM is Ken Holland you can't draw any logical conclusion for the moves he makes.

Yeah I agree the way that line plays is they end up all over the ice. Pens offense is so free flowing.

If we could package Hornqvist for an excellent defenseman, we could sign Oshie as a replacement. He won't replace everything Horny brings but Oshie brings a PF element we dont really have.

The blog is awful on this front. We could have moved fleury to Calgary who just grabbed a goalie and gave up assets though with retention slightly new cheaper. We had the cap space to retain a million.

Fleury is by far the biggest name player vegas will have. He's marketable which is pretty important for an expansion team. Fleury was a possible conn Smyth winner this year if Sullivan wasn't a Murray guy. He absolutely earned his ring this year. A star playoff performer is a big deal for them.

I was looking long term.

If you think Hornqvist will break down eventually and/or will become too expensive to re-sign long term as a bottom 6 forward...it might make more sense to trade him now and sign Oshie who can be in the top 6 long term for just a little more money
