the only time he's ever looked decent for a long stretch is when paired with Tanev.
Vantel would probably look decent if paired with Tanev - Nucker101

Vantel is the type of top line puck mover we need. - Crazybagoham
Better fit in Calgary imo.
He's got that truculence. |

yes. This and their play next season should realistically dictate if they are re-signed. - dbot
I'm wondering what impact Green will have on them. One of the players mentioned Green runs a practice differently- it might have been Gudbranson, but I'm not sure.
anyway, maybe the Sedins will either do the, we are too old for this sht, or be reinvigorated.
and if they look like they are finished, fans just have to start holding up the Thank You and Best of Luck in Retirement signs. |

he's a great skater lol and his hit totals and pims are similar to luca's - Nucker101
Bartowski is older, smaller, less offensive capabilities, less hitting, struggles to make an NHL lineup.

Tanev has that knack for making any partner look decent. |

I'm too lazy to do it, but I can probably name 5+ dmen who pout up the same points and hit totals he does that get signed for cheap or waived every year...he's just like our scrub forwards...easily replaceable and meaningless in the long run. |

Disappointed to see BM have Glass at 8. I've been either Vilardi or Glass all along but leaning more so to Glass now. I'll be curious to see how Necas pans out...will he be the big steal of the draft? |

All good.
I still think he has more value to this team than Gaunce, Megna or Dorsett, whom i hope get picked over Sbisa.
You are correct, not the biggest deal in the world, sorry if you felt i implied otherwise.

Unfortunately they are a package. They will retire at the same time. I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm just thinking the franchise owes it to them. - Eldebrink
Retire their numbers as they are the highest scoring Canucks ever. Other than that, we owe them nothing. They played for our team and we payed them very well for their services. |

We could crowd fund for a retirement ceremony to be held during the season to get the ball rolling. They might get the hint. |

So would I, but I would also consider Tanev + 5OA for 3OA + 29OA + Richardinson as well. Get Vilardi at 3, there will be some good d at 29 and 33, or trade up to snag Foote or something. Richardinson looks like he could dev into a 2c in the league and would be amazing to have as a 3c with how the future of hockey is going. - Retinalz

For what it's worth. Doan has been offered a front office job with the Yotes if he retires. |

Why not the full 8? Replace some knee caps, a new hip eventually. We can keep them playing till they die of old age. |

You can say what ever you want, the question was whether the Sedins would be resigned, I say yes to 2-3 year extension.
Sorry I'm not one of the followers that will continue to bash them. They will each put up 60 points and extended. |

I'm in no rush til they r beaten out. Hank is still serviceable but Daniel needs a real solid bounce back to earn another contract. Wing will be the biggest competition. |
