or maybe even higher. Sell to the highest bidder is what most Gms not named mike millbury would do
- SMBDragon

There will be some 5/6/7 D men traded out there in this Vegas romp. But he doesn't get that Methot is a lot older and heading down in prime compared to Tanev. Plus more expensive and not better as a D too. Notice none of the D left unprotected on teams were traded to Stars. So don't see a flood of same caliber D as Tanev bantied about in trades to lower value right now.

It just doesn't make sense for the yotes to give up much for a Tanev ...I don't think they are there yet

They won't be either unless D gets sorted & in goal.
Sooner or later something has to give

7 & 23 in this draft is not a lot.
Yotes lack veteran talent & r loaded in prospects already.

Arz is going full rebuild.
They ain't giving up any prospects for vets imo.
They got no pressure from 'fans', they're playing the long game.

In the yotes case it should be an arena.
Never said trade prospects just picks.
Long game sounds more like baseball as in no clock nor rush.

A TEAM without winning as a priority is the Yotes.
Their prospect pool is deep & the will to add missing pieces is thin.

Sounds like we are in agreement then.
hoarding prospects is their priority, not winning.
they are not interested in adding expensive/aging vets, unless on short term deals (Vrbata/Doan) and not many big ticket free agents are going to sign there...so they draft and develop.

I hear they're waiting for when Mathews hits free agency...
Cavs model.

I agree. Makar 1st then a C, glass preferably.

Hopefully there may be other ways to get any extra pick outside of tanev. Perhaps 33, 55 and a prospect?

On the Dallas Stars and the No. 3 pick …

Mike Heika: Think the Stars take Miro Heiskanen at No. 3 over Cale Makar. May consider trying to move back and select Makar as they like both.

Sean Shapiro: Seems like the Stars are leaning towards taking a defenseman – Heiskanen or Makar – over a center.

On the Colorado Avalanche and the No. 4 pick …

AJ Haefele of BSN Denver: Avalanche Director of Amateur Scouting Alan Hepple had a conference call Monday afternoon. When comparing defensemen Cale Makar and Miro Heiskanen, it seemed like Hepple leans towards Makar. There is no guarantee the Avs will draft a defenseman.

Miller to Coyotes

Gudbrandson to Fla for the 10 OA

Sbisa to Vegas

If I was Canucks I would ask LA Gaborik plus 11 OA for futures

I have to imagine the ducks told Vegas this is what we will give you ...if it's not good enough we will trade elsewhere to fix our issues and Vegas gets just stoner

Fla has plenty of young players and love Gudbrandson and need him .

Why trade him in the first place then ? And how has his value gone up since the trade ?

I'd love to see George (frank) over a few teams and do something like this ...but I think he is playing it safe to start out

Different management back then and the fans and coach hated the trade.

He will be doing what is best for the team . He should have given no definite yeses before this draft only a firm we will see.

Friedman in his 30 thoughts had said that he thinks Florida would try and re-acquire Gudbranson.

Gudbranson and Kulikov were traded almost immediately after Tallon was re-assigned in his GM job. Now that he is back in, and how much he has gone on to say he loved what Gudbranson brought to the team, it really wouldn't surprise me.
