Frenchie what's the deal with this Klim Kostin? In a draft where there isn't much to write home about, his stock seems to have declined because of an injury riddled season in the K, and not because of his play. Risk worth taking?

I don't like that trade. Might as well keep him and hope than just throw him away for barely anything.

This being said, Beaulieu is dumber than a rock.

He is a young Dman who showed some signs of good upside. Why the hell did they protect Benn and with the price of Dmen, how could a guy like that fetch only a 3rd?

Hell yes. He's better than Rubtsov, Guryanov and Nichushkin. They all went early-mid first.

On my flight to Calgary, I was sitting across from Brian Burke (still didnt have his tie done up)...but I asked if he would trade Giordano to the leafs for minimum return.
He said no.
Nice guy, but he didnt want to help with the Leafs D situation.
Sorry, I tried.

wasnt too thrilled about the draft either...said it wasnt that great.

Any chance he's available for the Bruins at 18 due the his injury and Russian factor?

If Tarasenko can fall to 16th..sure!

The Bruins will never pick him though, he's ranked too high.

Look at all the players that hit in the 2nd round for the B's. Just continue that trend. You might as well give away your 1st for nothing (to the Leafs).

Soooooo....

This was going to be a smart-ass question, but now I'm not so sure.

Here goes:

Do the Leafs sign Doan for 1 year, so that Matthews can play with his idol?

No - nice guy sure, good player fine, good dressing room guy certainly, a pylon - probably. Can't possibly add to team speed so pass.
