76 gms 11 goals 23 assists for 34 points and a +15 (+/-)

I would say that is not bad. Do you really think you can do better than that?

- Lilroot9

Well, that's a valid point but he was playing on one of the hottest teams in the league.

But if you look at D with comparable stats they were all protected

Now if we can just get rid of at least one of the bloated contracts. Moulson. That would be great.

@fitzy I still take my chances with the 2nd
- chilliard77

Fair enough, but I strongly disagree
Much rather have "Bailey" than a high 2nd

Last week, David Staples of the Edmonton Journal wrote that in summary of Jordan Eberle rumours from NHL Insiders, one could deduce that the return for Eberle will not be a top-six forward or a top-four defenecman.
Instead, the Oilers are likely to receive a cheaper forward, likely a winger, who possesses less skill than Eberle.
Jim Matheson of the Journal believes that Dallas Stars centre Cody Eakin makes sense for the Oilers in return for Eberle, if the team is indeed looking for a cheaper option for their roster.

Eakin, 26, scored three goals and added nine assists in 60 games this season with the Stars. His offensive production dipped significantly after posting 16 goals and 35 points last season and 19 goals and 40 points in 2014-15.
The 2009 third-round pick is signed for three more years with an annual cap hit of $3.85 million.

I'm actually shocked its so quiet today. Or does Vegas have to wait until Wednesday to reveal deals they have made?

if we can buy low im all for it. If the buy is our best trade (and in general) asset then we should pass.

8 you can trade down and wind up with liljegren and brannstrom based on latest mock draft.

Im sure we would have enough to acquire Eberle. Just not sure I want that contract of his.

I bet Girgensons could be enough

If that's the case...
I'm DEFINITELY going after Eberle

I think Girgensons or Larsson would be more desirable than Eakin
Both had better stats than him last year
You'd be looking for all 3 to do better,
so why not take a chance on one of our CHEAPER & younger forwards?

Worth a shot anyways

If I had to put it in order, it would be Bogo, Moulson, Gorges. And it in large part is due to a combination of term and effectiveness. Moulson actually does serve somewhat of a purpose on this team still and can be useful. Bogo isn't because he's injured more often than not. And Gorges only has 1 year left, so I'll suck it up and deal with him (hopefully as the 7th Dman) for one last year.

Nothing can be announced until the 21st.

I'm guessing it's a lot of chatter between GMs, but nothing can/should be leaked until the awards.

I'm fine with his contract
A bunch of regular seasons weighs more for me than 1 bad playoffs

I'd do Girgensons for Eberle in a heartbeat

it seems to me that everything is being revealed on Wednesday and that they have exclusive negotiating rights until Thursday at 8am.

But I feel like I've seen a lot of different reports of when/how things will be done, so take it with a grain of salt.

This is the dumbest headline I have ever seen on NHL.com

"Blackhawks hope to add quality player with 26th pick"

Really, I though they hoped to add a bench warmer who will get 4 points a season in the EAst coast league

Will be waiting on those leaks....

I don't think any leaks will happen. It's only two days.

We can all sit impatiently and speculate, right?
