They're taking Carrier anyway, to stay away from Ullmark, so adding him to any deal is a moot point.

Unfortunately, you're probably right about Cal, but what makes Vegas more appealing to him than Buffalo? McPhee going to chance that, AND take Moulson off our hands? I doubt it.

A 5 for 1 deal is too much, imo.

I'd probably be more willing to do it it if was Bogo instead of Moulson. That's the contract I'd like to get out from under the most.

Apparently WGR said yesterday that Ullmark will need to clear waivers next year, which is also wrong. Glad that these people get paid to tell us wrong information.

one reason why I think Ullmark is picked is because he can go to ahl

Me too. I've been saying that for weeks now. I knew that he'd be an attractive option for Vegas.

He has a good amount of NHL experience and put up pretty good numbers on a REALLY bad team. The fact that he can go back to the AHL is what sweetens the pot. Taking him would give them a TON of flexibility and a great future option. Whether he would end up being a key trade piece or the guy the plan on going with in the future.

I'm willing to sacrifice Carrier to keep him, no question. We've put a lot of development into him and he's ready to make the jump and be a really solid backup, IMO. Easier to replace a winger than it is a goalie that's that developed already.

He is a good, affordable prospect. They can't go with all veteran players. Someone needs to play in the minors

It'll probably be only Carrier that's picked anyway. I'm still crossing my fingers for something more fun than that to talk about. I also just heard 3rd hand gossip that Stempniak is retiring

My TV works just fine, thank you.

I actually was at about 20 of the home games, since I had season tickets. When you're sitting up in the 300 level, for the most part, it doesn't look all that "blue."

Though I suppose now you're going to tell me my eyes must be a POS or jacked up....

Agreed.

It'll be interesting to see where Housley uses Moulson next year.

Judging by Housley's comments, Moulson and Ennis are both top-6 players, which means Reinhart as 3rd center if he holds to that

My vision is perfect. Just had an eye test yesterday as a matter of fact. Never had trouble distinguishing color.

The jersey's are too dark. They should be lightened up at least a shade or two. They have one of the best logo's in the NHL. If they adjusted the color slightly, it would be one of the best uniforms in the league.

only way they take 3 vets is if they can trade one

aka Mrazek, Fleury and Grubauer

but I think they take Nate Schmidt from the caps

I wouldn't go that far, but I've never had that problem, in the 300s, the 100s, or on any HDTV, which is probably why I have no issue with the navy.

I also wear contact lenses all the time so maybe I have a really good kind.

Anyone think of the possibility that Ennis was protected because there is a trade in place for him already and the other team wouldn't have been able to protect him so they are waiting until after the expansion draft? Perhaps to his hometown of Edmonton? Maybe a package is set up involving Ennis and eberle. More likely a trade involving Griffin Reinhart.

He is the coach, it's his job to say stuff like that. The GM (if the gag order was lifted) would probably paint a different picture but porker is much better played if you cannot see the other teams cards.

Either way, I agree with him on Ennis. You can't put this guy with Dlo and Erod and expect him to score 20. Moulson will bring down any line he's on, so stuff him on the fourth for 10 mins a night

William Carrier is available to the Vegas Golden Knights and it's believed that he will be taken in the expansion draft.
It's being speculated that Sabres GM Jason Botterill has a deal in place to protect backup goaltender Linus Ullmark, so Buffalo exposed Carrier to be selected rather than oft-injured veteran Tyler Ennis. Carrier skated in 41 NHL games in 2016-17 and he posted eight points. The 22-year-old has speed and can play a physical game, which could interest Vegas.

I would have given a 2nd rounder for them to take Ennis instead of Carrier.

Sounds like they're potentially taking $9mil in salary from the Isles for a 1st + ? It sounds more and more like salary dumps are going for 1sts

Other teams seem more desperate and that's fine, I would have tried at least to move Ennis and add a 2nd rounder or another player with him.

Exactly.

You know my stance. Send Ennis/Bogo/Gorges/Moulson Away. Far Away!!!
