Really, I would say that the jealousy comes from the fact that I had planned to become a teacher when I was younger. Then I went to university and discovered partying and beer!! Fast forward fifteen years and the factory I worked in closed down and I ended up heading back to college.
I could be 20+ years into my teaching career now if I had some sort of self-control that year!!

But what would we be getting back in a return? If we could move up in the draft or add a good prospect I don't think it's a bad move, but we have no idea what the offers were. If Lindberg gets taken I think the chances of Stepan getting selected go down significantly. If we could have traded Raanta to Winn let's say for the 13th overall and a 2nd with our 1st going with Raanta, I think that's a move you make and sign a goalie to expose. Someone said last blog that's an overpayment for Raanta but Jan pointed out we got a 2nd and 3rd for Talbot and we all feel EDM won that deal so it might be a fair deal. Who knows though.

It's a no brainer if we lose Grabner it will hurt more then anyone imo. When we lost Hagelin people said his speed was very noticeable when it wasn't there and we got Grabner and that speed reentered the lineup. Plus he was arguably the best player game to game this playoffs. I love Fast and Lindberg but I think you can find a player like them more then you could a Grabner. Backup goalies come out of nowhere sometimes and the coach Allaire seems to bring the best out of guys so im not to worried there. I was hoping holden would go but that won't happen. Either way tho I think we get hit pretty hard no matter who it is as they are all solid selections for Vegas

Well, honestly you have put together a pretty reasonable scenario. But, maybe Gorton put that forward and Arizona said, "(frank) you. You aren't getting two of our top prospects for a fat, bald guy who makes too much money and can't skate or win draws."
Now, I don't feel that way about Step personally, but I'm trying to make a point. And that point is that WE DON'T KNOW poop ABOUT WHAT GORTON HAS OR HAS NOT DONE. So, getting angry and snippy with one another on this site is really quite pointless and on some levels, a little sad.

today, you are freaking because if Vegas takes Raanta, which, by the way (frank)ING SAVES GRABNER, they could trade Raanta and accumulate an asset or two.

I see both sides. I lean more towards jimbos thinking though. Let them take that one person" whoever it might be" and then make your decisions on what you have and if you want to make a trade you still have the rest of the summer, but you know what you have.

If you did it before the draft you are essentially getting rid of 2 players based on fear. Not on a concrete roster.
