Will it go up or down when Rangers trade the 21st overall pick?

on a scale of 1-10, the interest in the actual NHL draft with everything else going on this week is about negative eleventeen

I like new math!
Such a weak draft this year, and the Devils have the top pick so nobody really cares.

What's wrong with doing that, Capt. Doom&Gloom?
We need a top 4 RHD now. Our team is not really going to be better off for hanging on to the best player available 2/3 of the way through the 1st round of a weak draft, is it? Do we need to cling to that pick, just because we've traded away our 1st pick (sometimes foolishly, sometimes not) in stronger drafts for the past four years? If that pick can be packaged into something that helps round out our blueline and prevents Holden or Staal from playing 18 minutes a night next fall, I'm all for it.

it's something you look at for like 3 years on hockeydb and see if his junior stats are going up right? it's pretty thrilling

2 years, typically, then you get to see if he is doing ok in the AHL. It's all about progression Jimbo.

Another reason we should welcome a Raanta move to Vegas. Hate to see him go though - well not as much as I hated to see Cam leave...

NYR has had Weekes, Biron, Talbot, and Raanta play as the backup in recent years.

If my memory serves, all four were excellent in that role!!!

Allaire can mold sh*t into a solid backup

If Raanta goes, he will be replaced, no worries.

Biron was good for awhile, but really went downhill his last year with the Rangers

I saw a FENR1R license plate yesterday, but it was PA, and then I remembered you probably don't drive a car, you just hike there.

Those last few games he played before retiring were abysmal.

Yes, but my point is that Raanta has been a back up and will remain a good backup. NOthing more, as it looks now

Yup. He was a good guy though. Funny as hell in interviews. He would be a great announcer.

Zajac, Zacha, Schneider, Josefson, Palmieri, Hall, Noesen, Bennett, Moore. One day we will be a team comprised entirely of first round picks, and finish in the bottom of the league in scoring.
