Gaunce wasa captain & leader at Bellville so i see him as a late bloomer.
Thats wishful thinking but he bas played solid & not a liability.
His offence is what we all question but his role has not helped him either.
Given more talent to play with has hindered him but he can up his game also.

Not sure why some are so upset with JB's tenure thus far. With the talent he has acquired I think he has done a decent job. You can question some of his trades but at the time they seemed like good deals. I still believe management interfered at the trade deadline a few years back but this year I didn't hear too many complaints. Unfortunately 2015 set us back.

Drafts has been pretty good. If you can get 2 to 3 out of 7 per year that have potential to make the nhl I would say that is a success. 2014: Virtanen ? Demko and Tryamkin. 2015: Boeser, Brisebois, Gaudette not mention Zhukenov and Jasek. 2016: Juolevi and Lockwood.

If anything negative it's been the signings JB has made. Sbisa's, Dorsett and Sutter that come to mind.

I'm ok with not moving Tanev. I can see why management would be hesitant to move him even though his value is pretty high. There's no one to fill the void at this time.

I don't think there is a need to make bold moves but make smart ones...build in the draft...sign decent ufa's that might get you return at the tdl. Build your prospect pool then go from there. Try to picture our roster 3 years down the road...it's looking pretty good. Have faith Canucks fans, even though tough times may still be ahead...me thinks rock bottom has passed.

If I were him I'd let them come to me with their best offer.
Wouldn't play the back & forth & say to the 3 teams make your final offer.
Too much time is wasted IMO & the Ducks,Wild & NYI r in the pinch.
