I guess if you bothered to actually comprehend what Hendo wrote, you would see that he acknowledges that fact, and stated the Oil should offer up more to get Vegas to take manson and then trade him to Edmonton.

It doesn't surprise me that this was the direction Hendo took his thoughts in. Then later he, and a certain group of the fan base can turn around and say this was a failure on managements part because they couldn't convince LV to turn face on a deal they made for the benefit of the Oil.

It is obvious that Ana will lose a D, but that is all they will lose in the Expansion Draft. Either Manson or Vatanen and it is a good choice no matter which they take. They have most likely been approached to take one over the other.

Why would they ruin getting that sweetener to choose a good player over another good player just to take the "wrong" guy and send him to the Oil for a different sweetener.

LV is getting a proven starter as a goalie. They are getting some good looking D men and building from the net out is a proven method to win.

I didn't say I agreed with the Oilers doing such a thing, only that he did mention that the Ducks allegedly have a deal in place with Vegas. If there is a deal in place, I am not sure why McPhee would (frank) over the Ducks, or why P.C. would try to screw over the Ducks for the likes of Josh Manson.

Do you not understand that there is clearly a rock solid deal between the ducks and the knights for the ducks to leave exposed what they did.

Your article clearly suggests that you think good business in the NHL is to make a deal with one team then break it. McPhee will honour the deal he has with the ducks and Manson will be a Duck next year....

You round your numbers to make it look more significant. .4 vs .46 is as I said virtually the same. Especially when the team over all was a lot lower in ppg the year prior.

Im conflicted, Im not a fan of Russell but he can be important at times. Game 5 against Anaheim he was incredible. That said I wouldnt give him more than a year and i wouldnt give him more than 4, (my offer would be around 3 but he would def want more.) I just hope PC doesnt panic and sign him because we dont have a choice.
