Disagree. Some combination including guys like Nuge, Eberle, 1st rounders, Bear, Jones, etc could easily snag a guy like Dumba or Vatanen out of the right situation (that might be Vegas).
That having been said, I don't think we need that high producing offensive Dman. Klefbom is already looking great on the PP and seems to be a safe bet for some 40 point seasons with the possibility of finding a greater ceiling. Sekera racks up 30-40 points a year and both of Nurse and Benning have genuine offensive ability. I would prioritize actively pursuing another shutdown-capable RHD to help alleviate some burden off of Larsson's shoulders. - MaximumBone
Were not actually disagreeing about the need for that player. Championships can be won without a Keith, Doughty or Letang. I would rather have the depth anyway, as opposed to just relying on 2 -4 guys. |

I agree we lost that trade... there is no debate there. Every team knew we were desperate and made us pay the price..
What I'm saying is the Oilers are a better team with Larsson than they were with Hall. I would have preferred RNH or Eberle being moved but that wasn't happening. - Reveen.
Lord Larsson has more points in the playoffs, than that cancer Hall will likely end up with in his career.
I think they were better off not moving RNH as it worked out better for the team to have that center depth. His play defensively this year is something that can only be appreciated by those that actually watched him play. |

The Penguins proved that this year, although they did have future Norris trophy winner Justin Schultz in the lineup. |

I do like RNH... just not sure if I do at 6 million dollars |

Meh....it was solid, but he is the more replaceable between he and my boy Jordan. |

His 6million is a lot more valuable to the team than Eb's at the same price. |

Ah, I assumed that your mentioning that type of player meant that you thought we needed him. My bad. I just think having insurance policies that are capable of replicating each of our top-4 skillset is important. |

This. I would trade and offer more for RNH than Ebs any day. |

What? Are you (frank)ing daydrunk again?
I think we have seen how much more valuable to a team the center position is than the wing. Plus with Leon being able to switch between the two positions it makes Eb's even more expendable for someone cheaper to play RW |

Look at other 6 million dollar centers though. Stepan, Backes, Zajac, Dubinsky, etc. 6 mil is the going rate for 2B centers these days. |
