Would it be such a terrible thing to have Guhle start out the season in Rochester? Maybe give Housley some time to straighten out Risto/McCabe/Beaulieu and let Guhle get top pair minutes in Rochester. Probably wouldn't be the worst thing for him.

Beaulieu acquisition makes Bogo expendable, will not be protected. I also believe Lehner will be unprotected with Bot hoping the salary makes him too expensive as a backup in Vegas.

I'm pretty sure both Lehner and Ullmark met the requirements with or without a contract. The only requirement is that they either have a contract for next season OR are an RFA.
