I did a mock team, I actually took some older players than expected. However, it may sound crazy, I think they have a shot at the playoffs with my roster I selected.

They could use a player or 2 to package with their first and try and land pick 2.

Theory-

Vegas knows that in order to eventually compete for something meaningful, it will need to land a "franchise player" or two

Selecting guys like Manson, Dumba, Neal etc, might prevent them from being able to land a #1 overall.

They might be open to a lot of draft and trades if it involves lottery picks for them

I think a reason more deals weren't made before expansion,

Teams didn't want to lose two players for a small return.

Take the Ducks for example. They are losing a good player regardless.

So instead of trading Manson for a decent return, and then losing Vatanen on top of that, they are just gonna suck it up and lose 1 guy to Vegas

Bit of both, developed slowly bc of strings of injuries over the years, and has regressed bc of it. However he was a stud in the AHL this year, but he is in this weird AHL Dman, fringe NHLer territory. He would be a nice pick up for their Depth. I hope he is a 7th/8th for the avs next year.

Rocco was a happy surprise protection, they better be putting that guy up on the bottom 6 this year. That little bugger works his balls off.

GMGM has stated he will give every team the opportunity to keep their team together if they want to. It sounds like both Columbus and the Isles are giving up first rounders to dictate who the Knights won't take. No one on the Sabres list is worth burning and draft capital over protecting. I would flip them a 3rd though to take Moulson.

Ennis, has scored 20g in the NHL 3 times
Carrier does not have that potential

Can Ennis get back to that?
