I get the stopgap thing.

I just think he is done.

At least with Kulikov, if he played well maybe he can get moved at the TDL if needed. Kind of like moneyball.

Yeah very true. But at the end of the day, I don't think anything changes with our defense other than internal promotions for this year which I'm perfectly fine with

Look, I'm no Andrew MacDonald supporter most because of the money and secondly, he's a very vanilla, very bluh player. With this said, I don't think he's so crap that Vegas shouldn't take him in the expansion draft. Vegas should also be looking at long term deals and staying above the cap floor, as well as experience. Guys like Read and Raffl have short contracts right now. They could take Laughton but he has offered nothing. I'm not counting out Mac as not being plugged.

Not at all. I find him insightful, informative, thorough and he doesn't talk down to his audience. In short, exactly what you want from a blogger/journalist.

They don't need to take bad contracts without being compensated in the expansion draft to reach the cap floor.

They have three months of free agency to get to the cap floor.

I agree.

I actually think he works for them. Provides some stability on the back end. Can play in a top 4 role. Play PK. Can handle some PP if needed. Also for a team that might have a lot of turnover early his 3 years provide them with a little certainty at one spot.

If Amac does get taken, this will be the best summer the flyers have had in some time.

But for them, I don't really see it as a bad contract.

It's a 3 year deal for a top 4 defensman for them. It provides some certainty for them while they are constructing the roster over these next few years.

I'm not completely ruling it out either. Not likely, but i wouldn't say its that unlikely like some claim.
