I'm just glad Sbisa makes 0.1M more than Gudbranson

How do you know this?
- Marwood

Boeser played out the season in a Canucks uniform, pretty clear from a managerial standpoint where they want him. Juolevi is just a guess/opinion.

1: Patrick
3: Lilgran/makar/ heiskenin in that order, spelling of course ...
33: trd
55: trd
64: bust
95:junk

5ov plus 33 plus 55 plus granlund for 1ov
Tanev for 3ov plus Niemi

Come at me bro! Everyone outside of the first 20 or so in the first round will be junk and busy so trade them all for 2018 picks if possible

i believe the consensus is #freefalling4Dahlin.
alternates are #stalling4dahlin, hauling4dahlin or the more obscure
#ohmydahlin ohmydahlin, ohmydahlinquittingtime.

Yes, that's right. Hey I think we're close enough. Look at Grand Rapids winning the AHL cup this year. They keep their young players together and develop them until they're ready to play. Wonder if Tyler Bertuzzi is going to be anything like his Dad, since he won the playoffs MVP.

Would do wonders to have JV and other young prospects play in Utica for a couple of seasons if they need the seasoning while we're still bad anyways.

I'm not sure how clear it is. Let's see how he does at training camp before we give him a spot on next seasons roster.

I like Shorty, what's wrong with that

Besides there'll be 6 pages of why we didn't trade OJ for Drouin now. I remember back a few weeks ago there were people who wanted to trade Tanev for Drouin and there were peeps who said there's no way we could get him for just Tanev.

- allsports

I was one of those saying Tanev for Drouin.
That was then & this is now & i can move on to other deals.

His dad didn't make the NHL, so I think they hope he's better

I agree though, keep them seasoning!

given our talent pool and his play last season, it's as close to a sure thing as we got.
Nothing is 100%, but i'd say that he's got a top 9 position penciled in. it's his spot to lose.

Unfortunately, have to agree. What's the hashtag next year #tank4dahlin, except we won't have to tank.

We'll see.
He might start in Utica to mentor Virtanen.

that seems accurate.
Although Tanev is better than Sergachev, TBL wanted a young prospect that they did not have to expose to Vegas.

I would not do OJ and a 2nd for Drouin at this point in time.
Mtl is in a different place with Weber and Price needing to win now.

- dbot

TBL other option if we got Drouin was move another forward.
They had choices & i guess Sergachev was who they wanted.
In the end it seems an ok deal but SY might not be done yet.

Boeser is close to a lock. No idea about Juolevi. He needs a big summer working with Salo and he needs to avoid snakes at all costs.

Well they signed him to play 9 games even though it burned a year of his ELC. They wanted him in a Canucks jersey ASAP, which is what I took to clearly indicate management want him on the Canucks. I think it's his spot to lose in training camp, he'll have to do poorly or come into camp JV'd.

I would add to that, coming to camp prepared is not a concern as we know what kind of player he is and his commitment level. He will almost certainly be on the team

Best moves are sometimes the ones you dont make. Today was one of them. Especially if the Canucks would have had to add that 2nd next year. Absolutely no way would have done OJ for Drouin even without the 2nd next year.

Montreal are in win now mode and the Canucks are in tank now mode. Big diffence. This is the type of deal you look to make on the way up not on the way down. Montreal has to do something to shed salary and add to that defense but not like Serg would have been a game breaker next year.

Good deal for both of those teams.

I want Brock and JV in the lineup next year.

Sven/Bo/Brock

With rumours about Tanev its hard to say what we will do.
If traded then a real youth movement is happening.
Sedins & LE etc should be ok enough but D will be a poop show.

All in all pain before gain for a couple years is inevitable.
