Not according to 39. Says it will be Ennis.

Could happen in a Separate deal I guess...

It just seems odd to me that Housely would mention him by name as a player he's excited for. Maybe Vegas really wants Ennis and they have to take Moulson or Bogo to get him? I think Housely could actually do 2onders with Ennis. He probably has more raw offensive skill that ROR, disco just had him on a short leash. Ennis on an expansion Vegas team in the top 6 would score 20 imo

Sam has good hockey sense, poor food speed, below average hands. He is a solid 3rd liner/2nd PP unit.
- lulags

The best comparison I can think of is Dave Andreychuk but he will never put up his numbers because the modern NHL game does not allow it.

I'm leaning towards hanging on to Kane until the TDL. A year with Eichel should get him 30 goals, and make a huge difference for a borderline/playoff team.

Since 2014, Drouin's most common linemates 5 on 5

Killorn
Flipulla
Stamkos

Reinhart's most common linemates

Jack Eichel
Evander Kane
Ryan O'Reilly

- sbroads24

reinhart had time on the 3rd line, just like drouin
both reinhart and drouin bounced around from line to line

drouin averaged 17 minutes of ice time last 2 years getting 34 pp points, 61 even strength points in his nhl career

reinhart averaged 17 minutes of ice time last 2 years getting 27 pp points, 63 even strength points in his career

I think Phil was drunk

I mean they asked him what changed since he was drafted as a 163 lb d man soaking wet, phil says I weigh over 200 lbs

My point is the way people talk about him, you would think he is

Credit to you for being very adept at taking the opinion or one or two random commenters on this board or others and turning into some kind of mass opinion that must be railed against as the bastion of keeping it real, as it used to be called.

Nobody reasonable thinks Sam is one of their top 3 players, so who cares about those who are unreasonable?

Not nearly the same amount.

He spent an entire year there for the most part, which is why he requested a trade.

Steven Stamkos was his 3rd most common linemate.
Jack Eichel IS Sam's most common linemate.

Either way, point being, if Tampa can use Drouin to upgrade the D, it should be discussed with Sam

Dave was better.

He is like the nuge. High 50s with top line minutes. 40s on the third line If we put him there.

No way we will get a #1 defenseman for him unless we add

Jesus Christ, Reinhart is nowhere, NOWHERE, as slow as Andreychuk was. Not even close. Sam's straight away speed is lacking a bit, but he has a nice burst in his short range skating.

If all he is is a 50-60 point guy, I'll take him every day of the week on my 2nd line. There are some on here (not you) that make it their life's goal to try and prove to other poster's on here how inferior a hockey player they think he is (you know who you are). Every team needs 50-60 point producers, and if you can get 3 of them on your 2nd line, in today's game, you're doing well.

He isn't the 2nd coming of Paul Kruse, for Christ's sake.

Reinhart is the best puck tipper we've had since Vanek for sure. His eye hand coordination is excellent

I compared his "in front of the net game" to Anderchuck and the fact that he was known to be slower (that time everyone was slower). My point was if he has line mates that get the puck to the net, he will get points. They dont ask how, just how many!

Yes, it does. That's part of the point.

Drouin hasn't played with All-stars.
Sam has literally played with our other 3 best forwards for most of the time

For the record, if Sam is here for the next 10 years, I'll be happy, as long as the blue line is fixed

More comparing his style of play. Of course he is not as slow as Dave was. DA made the list of worst NHL skaters of all time who still had productive careers

Would be surprising, the way Housley was talking Ennis up. A healthy Ennis might be really good in Housleys system. Remember, 39 has us taking chychrun last year too.

Stick handling and receiving passes. How many times has Jack ripped passes up ice to Sam and others just to have it go through them. So then Jack just started to carry the puck coast to coast due to lack of confidence in his team mates being able to receive a pass.

If that's how you want to view it, fine.

I keep hearing about how damn good Reinhart is, how we need Kane, how Risto is a franchise #1, how Lehner is a good starting goalie, yet I see us with the 5th worst record in the NHL.

I don't know. If you want to call Sam a "great player" like the poster I responded to did, then go ahead. I just don't agree with it

- sbroads24

Never said Sam was great, but you were saying that Drouin is better, and I was pointing out that he has a lot of warts as well, and has done nothing in his career to this point to prove he his better, if anything he has proven he is worse by his actions regarding his status.
