Eesh. I would hate to see that. I'm a fan of his, but if he has to go, we should at least see a return

Disagree. Larsson is an underrated PK guy, good on faceoffs and he's a major pest. He always gets under the skin of the opposition's top players.

Ya know what I love about Rodrigues...he just WANTS to score...he shoots a lot and he has more talent than most people give him credit for

If Larsson gets in the way of EROD playing 3rd line minutes and PK time, Jack won't approve. My conclusion, Larsson is headed to Vegas....

Looks like Okposo is going to be ready for training camp. Whatever his issue, it's not career threatening.

It got worse in his absence. Idk, if my choice is between protecting Larsson, girgs, or Carrier, I'd take larsson

if we're talking lehner id rule them just cause i dont know that theyd want to pay what he gets in arbitration.
- Sabresfan-365

Or they just sign him to a contract both sides can live with
You're assuming he will go to arbitration
That's not necessarily true

On Housley, Ray said, "I detest Phil Housley. I still hate him. I fight Domi, but it's not as if I hate him. I played with Phil Housley and he treated me like
- MCGUIZZY[expletive] while he was here. He's someone, to this day, I still hate. He showed you no respect and pretended that he was the man and never gave you a chance as a young guy to fit in. I have a problem with that guy."

1) when did he say this? Is it recent?

2) actually... who cares? Rob ray is an idiot
Sabres should get that clown off the broadcasts asap, he's really horrible

Btw...
Idk what it is with former goons behind broadcasters?
Peters can go too. He was almost tolerable as Sylvester's sidekick,
but as the main host on the Instigators he's kinda brutal

So Botts and Housley both neglected to mention Reinhart in their intro news conferences. I said months ago he would be dealt. The ship has sailed for slow forwards with less than dynamic skills.

He forgot him and Kane in the WGR interview, but mentioned Ennis?

Too coincidental

they're a budget team, and you'd have to think lehner's agent would use arbitration as a negotiating tool

......or he's just listing w/e names popped into his head and Kane and Rhino didn't happen to pop in at that moment..

With Housley specifically mentioning he think Ennis is a good player,
I think it's Carrier who gets exposed

Even with all the time on the top6 last year, he hardly produced
Meanwhile, Larsson was pretty solid on line3

He would no matter what team Lehner was on
Doesn't mean they wouldn't agree to a contract

Very few players actually go to arbitration

We'll see. It might depend on what kind of contract he wants.

i know but my point was that winnipeg is unlikely to pursue a goalie who is going to set his price tag a little high using the threat of arbitration.

Maybe
But they've been cheap on goalies & had it burn them too
Their thought process could very well be that they'd pay for the right goalie
(Who knows if they like Lehner or not?)

It's not like he's gonna cost a lot
He'll still be one of the cheaper starting goalies in the league
What's he gonna make?
Probably 4mil-ish

That's not that much if they think he'll stabilize the position
They probably need a goalie

carrier has a lot of speed, though...good argument for him to be protected

Bailey & Baptiste have speed,
but also have showed to be better scorers throughout their development

It's not like Larsson can't skate
He moved good enough (along with a Foligno & Gionta) to be matched up against other teams good scoring lines

Not saying Carrier sucks,
but his speed alone isn't enough for me to say he MUST be protected

Also,
Larsson & Girgensons can play center
That versatility has its value

I'm with ya...Larsson is the only one out of that group who doesn't have speed...he skates well enough, but carrier, batiste and bailey can fly...what those three can't do that Larsson does is agitate...when he's on his game, Larsson gets under the skin of the opponent
