Coots has the goofy little brother/lumberjack that tripped and smashed his teeth theme going on though. Malkin is just plain ugly. He still grades above Tyler Kennedy though. Kennedy is legitimately the ugliest hockey player I have ever seen

I think Fisher is pretty cooked. Obviously he is the captain and means a lot to the city, but I would hope he would take on a pretty minimal contract.

Honestly, I would think about moving Ellis. I don't know if I could do it, but he had a fantastic year and it would be really nice to protect 7 forwards. You would think they could get a haul for him. I think losing Neal would be ideal for Nashville, but it feels like it just shouldn't happen for free.

Fisher will be re-signed. I'm just being realistic. He had a bad playoffs, but he's still an ok bottom 6 piece. Possession neutral, 20 points 5v5, and he's their leader. I imagine it's a 1 year deal, maybe $3 mil or something. He could be worse; he could be Bellemare.

As for trading Ellis......no. You don't (frank) with that top 4 of all top pair guys. They are a contender now, and Ekholm is signed for 5 years, Subban 5, Josi 3 (obviously gets re-signed), and Ellis 2. And everyone besides Subban is dirt cheap. I understand there's value there, but not more than to the team right now. It's an advantage to them that Ellis won't get more points with Subban/Josi hogging PP time. He really could be re-signed to a fair deal still. Their third pair is pretty trash, and you elevate one to top 4. Just no. Nashville has some good d prospects in Fabbro especially, Girard, Allard......but you cannot trade one of the top 4 d-men before they actually show they can be that. I think they can trade Ellis, or Ekholm even who turns 31 when his deal ends, at a later date. Ellis on a new contract is still highly tradable.

Once ran into Coots out in public. He was wearing a head to toe baby blue track suit.

Mike Ricci looks like Geddy Lee (frank)ed Crispin Glover and then the child was left out in the woods to die but survived on grubs and puddle water

I'm a bit drunk at the moment (ty dales pale ale) I am just saying I would entertain it. Obviously the return is what would sway the decision one way or another. I wouldn't just do it for the hell of it.

Side note...I can't believe they had Seth Jones too. God damn he's so (frank)ing good. I love him.

Side side note...You think the Lightning pick Drouin again if they had the chance? Woof.

He's listed at 190 lbs everywhere but the flyers website. That's like when AI was listed as 6'2.. he might be the lankiest player on the team if you've ever met him in person

You don't think Fisher retires? Know he hasn't said anything, but 37 pushing 38, getting them to a Game 6, now with a young kid...might be time to look at the future, no?
