In case you are wondering ... been told by league sources Flyers are NOT part of Galchenyuk discussions w/MTL despite Flyers D prospects

Never listen to Panotch, Hexy doesn't say anything... but I doubt Galchenyuk is becoming a flyer.

Nashville is a very interesting case when it comes to expansion

They have the best top 4 in the NHL and about 7 forwards that just came up huge for them this postseason. They really dont even have a good player on a "bad" contract that they could possibly convince VGK to take.

LOL

Man, check out that photo of Drouin/Bergevin on TSN's homepage -- we can talk tough all we want, but I'll tell you what: Marc Bergevin is jacked, and he might whip your arse in English and French if you make him mad

But seriously, as much as I wish for more scoring...I don't know. I think Galchenyuk is a good, productive player, but I don't really feel much desire to acquire him if he is available

Wouldn't have minded Drouin, but that was a steep price MTL paid -- they matched up better for that deal, because while a scoring LW is a need and I'm not afraid to make trades, even I will admit the Flyers could stand to wait a little longer to see if at least one more of the young defenders makes an impact in addition to Provorov and Ghost, who still have some upside IMO

Ha! You think he's done a bad job?

Now, don't get me wrong: I wouldn't have done Subban for Weber. Not at their respective ages. Just wouldn't have done it.

But he took over a pretty bad team and he's made some decent moves for them to at least have the opportunity to wiggle around the Top 10 teams -- yeah, they have some obvious holes. But no one can deny that he is one of those complacent GMs who prays for rain in the desert

Ha! Congrats if that's true, because that's nothing but hard work. It can be done by anyone willing to put in the work, obviously. But for Bergevin to be that ripped at that age, I gotta give that guy credit

The Bolts were probably asking for Myers or Sanheim. I think the roster gets filled internally except for goalie. Draft is only a week away, can't wait

Obviously they protect Joey, Arvy, Forsbergy. The last slot is really a tougher one. Neal didn't have such a hot year himself, and he's only 1 year to UFA. But this year was the exception in his career......or it's age. Smith has fallen off a bit in total scoring, but he's still a quality 5v5 guy and the drop is really just PP. So is Wilson. They're pretty interchangeable in performance, age, contract, except Smith has 1 extra year. There's always Jarnkrok, but he's really just an aight bottom 6 guy whose value is in his contract. Easy to see VGK taking him.

Real tough. I would think losing one of Wilson/Smith would be ideal. Smith has had a better peak and been the more consistent 5v5 player in possession and scoring. But I imagine freeing up salary for a run at Duchene would be nice for Nashville. Johansen and Arivdsson and Fisher needing deals will eat into their 16 mil cap space.

Me, either -- curious to see if the Flyers really have one of those guys at No. 2 or if they really feel someone else has more upside.

Again, I don't watch any of those kids, so I don't know. I do think the Flyers do as well as anyone in the first, so if they didn't take Patrick or Hischier at No. 2, I wouldn't necessarily moan and groan

You don't think Fisher retires? Know he hasn't said anything, but 37 pushing 38, getting them to a Game 6, now with a young kid...might be time to look at the future, no?

did i stalk correctly that hes done nothing to improve his physique during his five plus years in the league and thats why he only averages 80 plus games in seventy percent of his seasons?

I feel good either way. Hexy connections to Branden and the Flyers have drafted very well from the Q at forward in the first round many times. This pick speeds up the process, can't wait for training camp.

I think Fisher is pretty cooked. Obviously he is the captain and means a lot to the city, but I would hope he would take on a pretty minimal contract.

Honestly, I would think about moving Ellis. I don't know if I could do it, but he had a fantastic year and it would be really nice to protect 7 forwards. You would think they could get a haul for him. I think losing Neal would be ideal for Nashville, but it feels like it just shouldn't happen for free.

He's really 190 lbs, but he's listed at 211 lbs. 21 lbs of beard.
