What more do you want, two Stanley cups at once??

I just don't want bad officiating determining the outcome of games, whether they be game 1 of the preseason, or game 6 of the SC finals.

You're welcome... I suppose...?

I just wish the refs would call the games correctly, for all.

The Sens are my 2nd favorite team, btw.

A few of the (many) officiating brain farts worked out quite well for Pitt in key moments in the Final so I would say status quo isn't so bad for you either. Hockey refereeing will probably just get worse, until they a)automate it a bit somehow, b) rotate crews in for each period or something like that so they don't always have to "even things up".

He has a list of 10 (or 12, not sure which) teams that he can be traded to, if they really want to look at that route. Why any millionaire athlete in their right mind would not want to go to Vegas is beyond me though!

Believe it or not, a lot of Penguin fans didn't like that no-goal call either... it kinda tarnishes things a bit. But then again, the refs certainly DID try to even things up with 4+ calls for Nashville, including a 5 on 3. Nashville just couldn't score, including game 5 plus.

It just sucks, no matter who you root for. I thought there were a few head shots (into the boards) in the SC final series that should've been called, and most of the even-up calls in game 6 were not penalties.

Really?66
Vegas is a cesspool. Not sure why anyone would want to go at all... except for the hookers of course.

I've never been, but I've heard that those who live there never go near the strip.

Don't knwo anything much about the areas outside of that.

Personally I think he should retire because seeing him in any other jersey is just wrong.

If he is going to play for any team, I think Washington is a good fit. He still bring a ton of grit, costs basically nothing, brings a ton of work ethic that they could use and learn from, and can get under teams skin in the playoffs.

I still vote we expose Ceci

If they expose him he's gone.

It seems they're losing one of Ceci, methot claesson or pageau.

I know that but to me, you have to either make a side deal or lose someone and we have Chabot, Harper, etc coming or ready now.

Methot works the best with Karlsson so we should protect him and Ceci isn't living up to expectations. He's a good player but not what he was expected to be at this stage. Yes we would have to take a bit of a loss, but he is replaceable right now.

Without a side deal, I would agree that Ceci would be taken - RH defencemen in their early/mid 20's who can play top-4 minutes have very good value, which would be foolish to give up for nothing.

The 'easy' thing would be to protect...
F - Stone, Hoffman, Turris, Brassard, Smith, Pageau, Dzingel
D - Karlsson, Ceci, Phaneuf
G - Anderson

Then do your best to protect Methot with a trade, which leaves Ryan as the "big-name" player, MacArthur/Burrows as veteran wingers, and Claesson/Wideman as RFA-age defencemen with upside.

If they can make a deal involving Ceci for a scoring forward, then fine... but at this point Ottawa is trading from such a point of disadvantage that I doubt they would get fair value. Plus, with all of Claesson, Harpur, and Englund in the prospect system, they have potential successors already in place to eventually fill the roles that Methot and Phaneuf play.
