Top 10 you're going to get a pretty good player.

After 13 is when it starts to fall apart

- Jammerz04

They're saying this is worse than the reinhart draft, most in the top ten haven't developed into much. If they can move it for value, they should.

That's why we should use our first as trade bait this year. We need to get better now and I don't see anyone after the top 3 ever developing into NHL studs

Yeah, would suck getting a 36-year-old Patrick Kane.

Man he ages quick.

I agree. There really is only 1 player I would want at 8, Necas, I've been on his bandwagon since December.

No, I literally just read that it's unlikely the increase is the full 5%, and that that's why they don't have a hard number to give.

http://www.secondcityhock...projection-2017-18-season

The big remaining variable for the NHL, it appears, will be the escalator clause, which designates a year-to-year increase of five percent for the salary cap, contingent upon approval from the NHLPA. The situation gets complicated here with revenue split and escrow, but last year, the NHLPA didn’t use the full five percent, which is why the cap fell $1 million short of some initial projections.

That could happen again this time around, which is presumably part of why Daly gave a range for the upcoming increase instead of a firm number. A full five percent increase from $73 million would be $76.65 million, so even now, it appears the NHL is not planning for that

- sbroads24

I know it probably won't go up the full 5%
But last year was the SMALLEST increase since the last lockout

In 4 seasons, it went from 60 million to 73 million
That's an average of 3.25mil per season
I only raised it 3mil per

And even if it only goes up by 2mil this year
All the extra revenue from Vegas will more than make up for it next year

But even if it doesn't...
and it only goes up 2mil per season...

That puts it at 77million
And when u take out the extra players,
my CapFriendly roster is UNDER 75million

It's like u argue just for the sake of arguing
The POINT was that we could fit Tavares & PK88
And that includes bringing in 2 new top4 defensemen
And keeping Lehner at 4mil

No... I don't think that will actually happen
It was just to show it could work

The truth is, we have no idea who will or wont be studs.

There will be studs in this drafted picked after the 1st round, like in every draft

Me too, the last thing we need is another 6-10th overall dead weight player clogging up our minor league system for the next 4 years then producing nothing in Rochester
After that. I've had my fill over the past 8 years

I literally can say the same for you.

An hour after you told me there was no way Boston could add a D man, the Boston blogger put up a Brodin to Boston blog.

I asked what makes you think the cap will go up to 80 within 2 years? It was a general question because it doesn't look like it will

Oh... some random dude that writes on Hockeybuzz says so...
yeah... MUST BE TRUE
are u serious?

And I told u twice why I thought it would go up to 80
VEGAS

Yet still...
u miss the point just to argue

Roster at 75mil
Cap at least at 77mil
Room to make it work
THAT WAS MY ENTIRE POINT

According to CSNNE, the Bruins have had trade talks with the Wild regarding defenseman Jonas Brodin.

yes so if the draft is so weak in your opinion why would anyone trade a top 2 d-man for the pick?

This top 10 isnt nearly as weak as people are making it out to be
