I think he is the best skater and playmaker in the draft. He is over looked because he is Russian.

I agree that he's underrated

I have him at 14th and I thought I was being cool

If Canucks are targeting Makar or EP then they could swap with Vegas , that would count as their player exposed

I doubt that swap holds much value to Vegas. Maybe offer a swap with Vegas and they take Sbisa in the draft? Sbisa is one of 2 or 3 possible targets for them.

I was looking for info on those KHL clubs and came across this,

http://www.hc-avto.ru/news/1876/

I thought from the title of the article there would be more on Tryamkin.

portion from the article

- How did you manage to return Nikita Tryamkina that before last season to conquer the NHL?

- We are pleased that the «Avtomobilist» managed to win the fight for their own students in the NHL, "Vancouver Canucks". Of course, first of all, it is a personal decision of Nikita - to return home. But on the other hand - this is the first fruits of the first season of "Motorist" under the auspices of "UGMK-Holding", because a year ago Nikita had nowhere to return, the club could hardly offer him adequate conditions.

I would also like to note that we will be happy if our efforts to return Tryamkina from overseas will be useful not only "Motorist", but the Russian team in the light of negative developments in relation to the NHL's participation in the Olympic Games 2018. Naturally, the choice will be for the national team coaches and staff, but the "Motorist" did for the moment all that this choice has become wider.

These translators don't seem that smooth. are they saying Tryamkin might make their olympic team?

Interesting how they are boasting about being able to offer more for Tree to return. So what if they can't back up the promises. Then what. We know of all these reports of KHL players not being paid. Then today mass protests all over Russia, which is illegal by the way, with over 1000 arrests, against corruption and economic issues. The issues of sanctions and Trump. It seems that the economy is taking a hit. So I would say the interest of all these high profile players to come back to NHL. Plus more signings of KHL stars. This may well be a sign that Tree will be back sooner then many believe.

I won't hold my breath. If we see him in the NHL again it won't be on our team.

Don't get me wrong I liked Tryamkin as a player and him beyond the game. Really great guy. True all in heart guy for his teammates. He had something other than just size we needed in a defence man on this team. Something went on. I am not a conspiracy theorist but I think there is more to it than just him wanting to be in Russia.

well ya.... lidster hated him for some reason and wouldnt play him till JB intervened. He was upset about not getting played for 10 straight games. He was upset the contract he signed said he couldnt go to AHL then the team tried to send him there.

Add to that the team finished 29th.
