How many players league wide got the call asking them to wave their NMC or NTCs?
- A_SteamingLombardi

Prob a lot. I doubt Benning asked Loui to waive his though

why would he? Loui wouldn't get claimed anyways. To protect Gaunce or Sbisa? I don't care because we won't lose anyone important.

If JB had any intentions on trading on the cheap to pick up some unprotected players from exposed teams. Then having Sedins and LE waive would help avoid having to expose someone like Granlund or Guddy.

the Sedin's would tell Benning to go frank himself and I wouldn't blame them.

never knew about the 41 games before, always that you had to have stepped on the ice for a playoff game.
The article mentions 1 game of the stanley cup final. I wonder if that means stanley cup playoffs or only the finals. Makes sense that if a player plays in any round of the playoffs he gets his name on cup. Should not only be the final. Say a player is acquired at the TD (missing the 41 game min) and gets injured in round 1 or 2, should he not get included in the cup names? He helped them get to the cup final

- SMBDragon

I think it's either playing in playoffs or having played 41 games with team to qualify. Like if Preds had won that minor league call up would have been eligible.

No, that will be after JB drafts Glass and you do a 180 and write 2 miles of bandwidth on JB screwing up.

- boonerbuck

You've been here long enough to know that I usually make my draft preferences loud and clear before the GM has a chance to screw it up. Then I complain and cry

Ehlers

Tkachuk

Benning got me with Boeser over Merkley though

Sadly this is true...Canucks have a load of poop for Vegas to go dumpster diving in.

I think it is a team/league discretion thing, as mentioned on the NHL.com story I posted there are guys who are "grey area", played 36 games RS and 6 in the playoffs or something like that for example, for pitt. It is interesting, but I don't fully get it to be honest.

I don't see Vegas picking one of them up cause he could say frack it I retire and take advisory role with Canucks. Plus Vegas would get more mileage out of Sbisa or Guance/Boucher for an expansion team.

well you may be pleased this year....it certainly seems like they are set on Mittle/ Glass/ Petersson/ Makar. No idea what the actual order is though. My gut is that it's between Glass and Mittle. Peterson/Kostin and Makar are in case they add another first.

If it was allowed i could see them looking at the canucks roster for hours... in silence.... then looking up and saying "WTF, pass".

If they pass on Glass or Vilardi I'll still be upset, but I recognize the upside with Mittle/Makar.

I think he's going to take Casey or Makar, that's what I'd put my money on.

He can just as easily get you on OJ too. JV is a long shot but that book hasn't been finished yet. Watch Ehlers decline as JV rises that will be something. Making early calls on prospects to declare a clear victory can bite you later on.

Why? If we got Booner(as an example) I would just expose Sutter. I doubt LV takes him.

I am not convinced they still rate Mittle as the best center after the top 2. It certainly sounds like they were high on him at the mid point of the season but lately they are always talking about Glass and Makar. I think their list changed.
