for sure, one of Tanev or Edler should be traded. As much as I'd love for Tanev to be traded pre-draft, the trade can't be rushed. we need a big return. - CanuckDon
I like Hutton, but I wonder if a deal around him and Galchenyuk is possible. Keep Tanev to Help OJ along. |

Agreed. I wonder if Benning has even approached Edler this off-season. It would be a mistake to not at least be blunt/honest and tell him that the team is rebuilding and that he won't be around for the turn around. Maybe he'd provide a shortlist of teams that he'd go to and Benning could get a decent return.
I see Tanev as a much better partner for young dmen than Edler. He's such a calming presence and easy to play with. I can't think of a dman who hasn't looked better playing with him, than without. - Nucker101
Tanev could really help Juolevi's development. If Edler agrees to waive, I suspect it's a the deadline. If we can trade him at the deadline for a 1st in a deeper draft that would be awesome. If that happens, then I'd prefer to keep Tanev. I don't want Gundbranson being our top veteran D |

I wouldnt think twice about a deal like that, would just sign Del Zotto then to replace Hutton. |

for the right deal, yes
I'm glad that Benning actually seems unsure about trading him, it'll keep the price high. He usually gets bent over value-wise when he's the one initiating the trade talks and trying to make things happen. - Nucker101
Like in the last two trades that he made? Burrows and Hanson?
Why do the haters always forget those trades....? |

He did approach him but not with what everyone here is looking for.
He wants him to be here for the rebuild |

They need too wait until hes in his last year.
In other news Henrik is getting close to signing Daniel to a three year extension while the contract talks with Henrik have left Daniel quite frustrated.
To quote Daniel "we've come to terms with the salary of 6m per but Henrik wants a4 year deal, the main sticking point is whether he'll accept having his no movement clause for the full 4 years or just the first three". |

You're right on that. But Edler says he knows and wants to help mentor the rebuild. It would have to be a we got an offer for you we need moment and we need you to waive scenario. |

More importantly, has Hank talked to Daniel and Daniel talked to Hank about how long of an extension they want.
***
Henrik will sign Daniel to an open ended contract @6MM per season. |

You were quick on that I only had it posted for about 30 seconds. It was similar to President cup, but not as long-winded as his. |

I don't get why Habs would want D with Sergachev and Julson coming in. Are they not thin on C and after Dutch? |

Was reading Columbus have an agreement with Vegas to select a certain player and they will compensate them with another sweet pick. Hearing they want to expose Hartnell NMC |

Drafted 3rd round to the ST. Louis Blues out of the AJHL from the Fort Mcmurray oil barons in the 2012 NHL entry draft. COLTON PARAYKO. Then 3 years of college.
Sorry bud. - manvanfan
Don't be sorry, be mindful - that in modern existence of that league (1998/14/16 teams) it has generated ONE player that's had moderate success at the NHL level. Just Temper your expectations is all i'm saying. |
