I would love to hear from some of the more knowledgeable guys what player you would be excited about if the flyers got them for the first 3-4 rounds. - johm12

Alexsi Heponiemi - Mordecai
If he's not a pure 2nd rounder with great steal potential, someone (frank)ed up |

The question wasn't who would you liked in the 2nd round but rather 3/4 range |

I'd consider trading up to 31-36 range just to snag him if Yams is already gone. |

Guys like Bemstrom and Virtanen are hard to read on draft day. Bemstrom is a bit small and both are homegrown guys without a ton of hype (both seem quality picks imo, though I only personally saw them sparingly in u18s and wasn't really focused on them). They're maybe the types that fall to value in a later round or some team is in love with one and reaches in the 3rd/4th or something.
Some names I'll add, some more 3rd types some more 4ths: Robin Salo, Dmitri Samorukov, Jonas Rondbjerg, Jake Leschyshyn, Alexandre Texier, Noah Cates, Johnny Kovacevic, MacAuley Carson, Fabian Zetterlund, Ostap Safin, Mario Ferraro, Matthew Kellenberger, etc., etc.
Deep goalie draft too if you miss out on one of the consensus top 4 (no need to use a 2nd on a goalie again imo): Ian Scott, Stuart Skinner, Cayden Primeau, Dylan Ferguson could make a solid pick with one of the 3 4ths. |

Random thought: I don't know why but I just have this feeling that Schenn could get moved during this draft. What Hexy would be looking for in return I have no clue. But if there's value to be had I'd certainly have to consider it. |

I think there's a good enough chance he is there at 44 where I wouldn't trade up. Size will hurt. Doesn't much seem like a Hextall pick either tbh. There's only a few guys I might consider parting with a 3rd for to get to ~35 that we might have to do so to nab. I really don't know if Yamamoto slips to there. Again, size hurts. Better chance to go in the 1st but things happen where he might be there in the high 2nd. |

I'm 90% convinced that Yams gets snagged in the 1st. He does so many things right and is more physically developed than a lot of other guys despite his small stature.
I'll admit that I don't know much regarding later round picks in this draft as opposed to last year and the year before. That's what I rely on you for though. |

I was going to say I haven't heard a ton about the goalies in this draft. I know we're a bit overstocked on goalie prospects at the moment but I wonder if Hexy takes one or two just due to the sheer number of picks that we have. I personally wouldn't mind grabbing one with one of the 4ths. But yeah, I agree. I wouldn't be grabbing a goalie at 44.

5'7.5.....148 lbs. We'll see. No reason in a couple years he can't get up to at least Johnny Gaudreau territory size-wise, but tape measure scouting could hit him hard. If he does go, it's going to be late to some stacked team like Pittsburgh or Chicago or Columbus who is ok with taking players like that. And they'll get a potential star player they can cheaply add like they always do and keep chugging along. (frank) 'em. |

Skeptical he makes it to 75 or 80, let alone 106. Probably a 2nd rounder, along with the other 3 I alluded to: Oettinger (maybe 1st), Petruzzelli, DiPietro. With how deep this draft is, I'd prefer to try to wait until the 4ths for a goalie, if we select one, as Hextall is fond of doing. But they're very good at it, so if they need to use a 3rd, I won't gripe too much.

He's better than DeBrincat by a good margin IMO. More versatile offensively and defensively, better skater, better international track record, a real line driver and not support player, smarter. Just more pro. And that's a weird word to describe any shrimp. |

Them too. He did say his favorite player who he models himself after is Placemats Zucchinijello, also known by his alias Mats Zuccarello. |

Unfortunately and fortunately the rehearsal for my wedding starts at the same time as the draft with the dinner afterwards. Its going to be torture to not be able to watch them select the #2 pick. Will probably miss most the draft. |
