your getting seabrook for pennies on the dollar

with vatanen you will have to overpay

just my 2 cents

- homiedclown

U don't think the trade u offered would get Vatanen?
I think it would easily get him...
Easily

What do u think Vatanen (or whoever) is gonna cost?

seabrook was far and away the worst.
- Sabresfan-365

Would you rather have Bogosian or Seabrook for the rest of their respective contracts?

Serious question because I haven't watched too much of Seabrook lately.

I think seabrook and keeping kane makes us a much better team than brodin and losing kane

at some point you need to make the playoffs and get this ball rolling, hell an 8th seed can make the finals

is seabrook the guy I want to target, no
can I name 20 guys I would rather have, probably

of those 20 guys, 12 or so could be had if you overpay

I am open minded if it happens

nothing more
nothing less

- homiedclown

Where did I say anything about losing Kane?
Minny wouldn't be able to take Kane back in any deal we make with them

no

oilers got larsson for perhaps the second best LW in the game, in his prime

I think a 2/3 d man on the cheap is going to cost reinhart plus

or nylander plus plus

Seabrook is still good
But almost everyone would say he at least appears to be on the decline

If they're gonna trade Panarin,
It's gotta be to get a guy on his ELC who will still produce for them

Not as a sweetener to get rid of Seabrook

Salary Cap
Minny can not take on salary in a trade for Brodin
They need to sign Niederreiter an Granlund

Which is understandable considering his age.

I always liked watching him during the Hawks' playoff runs but that contract is...yikes.

if the hawks retained 25% of seabrook

would you give them bailey, borgen, carrier and 2 seconds for seabrook?

serious question

There's still hope that at Bogo's age,
that we could ditch his contract at some point

Likely be almost impossible to move Seabrook in 3 years...
only option would be a buyout, which would suck
Or get him to waive to go to a crappy team that needs to get to the floor
Which definitely wouldn't seem possible

no. seems like overpayment for a 32 year old who will undoubtedly decline within the next 1-2 years with a massive contract.

They still couldn't do it
And they will want assets that can be productive for them in the future
Not just a rental

He has a lot of value at a reduced salary. Playing minutes under a smarter coach at a commensurate salary is something Id sign up for.

I still really like Seabrook
If the contract was only for 3 more years...
then I'd trade for him asap

But that deal is just way too long for me to consider it
And there's no way the Hawks would keep any of his salary

No way
More sellers than buyers
And GMs of Anaheim, Minny, etc etc etc are in a serious time crunch
So they can't hold out for the deal they think is fair
They're gonna have to take what they can get

That guy's information is very good, but the fact that he is a giant, and I do mean giant, condescending, @$$ clown truly mitigates his message, at least for me.

He is the perfect description for the people that do hate the advanced crowd, because this guy acts like he is never wrong, like he is a genius, and everybody else is a fool.

On top of all that, the Ducks don't even like Vatanen that much compared to the rest of their D core.

They definitely like/love Fowler much more based on this past season.

And Vatanen will miss at least 1 month of the season, and it sounds like it could be more than 2 months
(Ducks said Lindholm out 5-6months, Vatanen out more)
So that will bring his value down

Circumstances are much different this offseason than the Hall/Larson trade
Prices will be much more reasonable

One drunk GM deal does not set the market in perpetuity, no matter how hard other GM's try to make it be so.
