It tastes metallic-y to me. Like someone dropped a penny in the can before they closed it up.

You may be right. Haven't had it in a long, long time. I am too old to drink crap beer, and if I want some summer beach or picnic beer, usually go with Corona or Modelo's or something similar.

I love Modelo.

Brooklyn Summer is probably my favorite beer on the planet. Doesn't hurt that the cans look cool as hell, but I really love that beer.

Something is afoot with #Flyers

Something is going on...

(Not saying it's related to Kovalchuk, but I guess it could be)

edit: Ghost multi-year extension. Cancel the alarm.

Unless it's an unbelievable offer I can't see Shero trading Kovy within the Metro.

Did people really believe there would be an NYR NJD trade? They'll sign Kovy next summer when it won't cost them anything and can offer him $2m/year to skate with Nash at 4m/year

it's just not happening, it's a preposterous suggestion
- jimbo83

I hope that by my related posts, you can see that I was only making the point as to why this never even was a possibility of happening at all, but instead just another unreasonable thought of a proposal by some other Rangers fans here.

When was last time Nash played 80 games? You're missing point. My original post was us getting Julius Honka. It's not that I want one of those goalies. I'm looking at it as more Dallas might want Nash, and we'd get a good prospect for taking back one of their goalies, preferably, the cheaper one
- junaka3

As Jimbro said, "you would rather have Lehtonen play in 20 games here instead of Nash playing in 80 games"??? Even if Nash could only play in 40 games, (be it due to a possible injury that he may experience, or should he possibly be dealt anytime prior to next season's trade deadline), he is still worth 100% more to the Rangers than Lehtonen would be here at only a $1.9M lower cap hit to be a 20 games backup to Hank.
Furthermore, you would want the Rangers to have $14.4M of cap space tied up at just the goalie position, leaving currently only $58.6M for the remainder of the roster??? Some people last season were advocating that we may need to trade Hank to save some of his cap space alone, in order to improve elsewhere, (if he would approve to have his NMC waived, which he will never do anyway).
Throw away your thoughts as well as to Dallas also giving us a prospect totake a higher cap player in Nash for his 1 season left on his deal, when they FIRST desperately need to acquire DEFENSEMEN to improve their team. Nash would also have to have Dallas as one team to be dealt to on his 10 teams trade approval list, (if that term still holds). Otherwise, like Hank, he would also have to agree to have his NMC waived in order to be traded TO BEGIN WITH here.

You shouldn't lose your sleep over this, man. Like you're, sort of, saying; won't ever happen. We should move on from this idea already...

I am of a different mindset on this one. I don't want the Rangers to trade their 1st rounder, even if it means getting rid of Staal. To the contrary, I would like them to try to move up, and draft a guy like Erik Brannstrom, and I don't give a hoot that he's a left shot.

Eventually, the Rangers are going to have to start trying to draft impact players in the first round again.

- Pete V

Brannstrom of Sweden is both listed at being only 5'10" & 173 pounds, and is ranked #19 overall on Craig Button's 2017 Entry Draft List. His only other higher ranked d'man under 6' tall & weighing up to 180 lbs. is his #3 overall ranked, Cale Makar out of the AJHL. There are 6 footers and bulkier draftees who are ranked both higher, & a little lower to select from, and that are preferably RIGHT HANDED for us.
But most draft experts feel that this year's crop is not up to the level of recent prior year's ones. So trading our 1st Round pick at #21 overall, along with another asset(s), just to move up to a higher #1 pick may not be that fruitful this time around, unless they somehow know through their scouting that they are getting a "CAN'T MISS" stud, or one close to fill a specific need.
Brannstrom ranked at #19 overall by Craig Button may still be available anyway as overall pick #21, if his rankings are 90% to 100% accurate. Instead, take the chance with what we have now with the 21st overall pick, unless a more beneficial deal of any means will be the benefit. That would include the rumored talk earlier this week with Staal + our #1 pick going to Vegas, for them to take over the full balance of his contract.

I, and I'm also sure that JIMMY (for member "B276"), will promise that we will not take part again in that member's proposal of dealing Nash to Dallas for a backup goalie. I just couldn't believe that initially Jan, I, & JIMMY were not being clear enough in our replies (somehow???), to show that member why he should drop the subject in the first place, before it spirals into the level of another member's daily post this past season that stated, "We could have traded Stepan for Dumba & Coyle to the Wild prior to last season".
It brings back memories of the words that in key, Jimbro, (I meant JIMMY, for member "B276") & that other member had exchanged on that matter.
