The GM in charge of rebuilding our prospect pool will always be driven out and replaced. Then some GM that puts it all together will come and get all the credit for Bennings work. Burke may not be a great GM(Nonis is bad, but i'll put his name here) but without the work they did, Gillis would not have been able to do anything. He literally rode their coat tails. Some fans see Gillis for what he is, and some fans think he was the second coming of Jesus for our team because he signed a few UFA's.

I thought this was their second interview? I may be wrong. If a Tanev trade includes a mid 1st, the Canucks could look to draft Elias. Or get in better pos to move up and grab him.

for some reason when i read Newell Brown, i pictured Rick Bowness... If Van wants to draft Pettersson and feel they can drop down to get him. What they need to do is pick up another pick in the area they feel they can get him. Van doesn't need another second round pick to kick start the rebuild, they need another first.

Well that is pretty much a dream draft for me. Had 10 picks.
