Well personally I disagree, I would value there input on a lot of issues, I have contacted several departmental people, people that have moved on and retired individuals to discuss several different issues in the organization I work for and that happens in all walks of life. Sedins likely haven't seen any of these guys play a single minute of hockey though. They should have zero input on the draft. Even the interview process. Vantel is right, it's bizarre and I haven't heard of any other teams doing this.
