I guess we can expect a contract extension any time now after July 1 - VANTEL

You could come to the conclusion that maybe Elias Pettersson english is about as good as TL's Swedish. The Sedin's would make good translators.
Jim is probably real busy with the upcoming expansion draft. - manvanfan
Yeah as long as they're not translating on the PP, then they would just talk to each other for 2 mins. |

you make some valid points there.
After JV and McCann perhaps they decided trevor might be better at assessing character. TL would likely conduct a very good interview for prospects considering his extensive NHL playing experience. Character guy.

If that is true then your GM is not a qualified GM |

Lidster was the worst assistant I've ever seen. As long as he's gone, I'm happy. - Crazybagoham
totally, I said he was a bum more than 2 years ago. He was clearly willies choice, Id never have hired him with his coaching history. Fired after 1 season was usually what happened. |

just something I was wondering about.
Every GM has a weak spot though |

Assessing a roster is the GMs most important job . If an ex-player (Linden) with no previous GM experience is better at judging players then you , then you should not be in charge of putting together a roster. |

maybe Jim was busy and didn't care to meet the kid twice. Flying in kids for additional inteviews is unusual anyways. |

Nice value, but he'll be a pending UFA at 29 though so he's gonna get paid. |

Run the Vegas Golden Knights Quick Pick tool.
My first go, Canucks lost Brendan Gaunce
VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS QUICK PICK
Edit: and it took 5 tries before Brendan Gaunce turned into Luca Sbisa |

Canucks Now
@CanucksNow
Per @DhaliwalSports, Trevor Linden and the Sedins met with draft-eligible C Elias Pettersson on Monday. Cody Glass will be in VAN this week.
This bugs me a lot. Who is running this team? Are the Sedins not done after this year? Why is Trevor doing the interview and not Jim ? This team is so ass backwards. - VANTEL
I think you should relax a bit, everyone knows you have a massive Sedin hate going....but...who's to say he hasn't meet with Jim, maybe Jim said to Trevor I like this guy, why don't you and the Sedins see what you think.
This whole fan base can be nothing but negative Nellies. |

Seems like a non-story to me.
Having character dudes like Hank and Dank come in and offer an opinion on a young guy is nothing to get worked up about.
If i recall, they called out some youngins that were on the roster a couple years back and they were shipped out shortly after.
Why not have the Sedin's on board earlier, as they are the leaders of the team on the ice. Can't hurt.

Linden and the Sedins are "yes men"
They'll feel threatened by the idea of drafting a true alpha
Expect another pillow biter drafted at 5th overall |

Why do I need to relax? I can be angry if i choose at the way Canucks are going ass backwards.
I never hear of Shane Doan sitting down conducting interviews Or Jagr. It is unorthodox and I can comment on it all I want.
If Benning is done then that should be the end of it or he has to check with the Sedins to get their blessing? |
