I dont want to make this deal as a Buffalo fan. Why would i give up a proven talent with what i expect is a higher ceiling for a guy like Halifin who though he was highly touted comming out the 2015 draft has been ok in his first two seasons. In addition, as the blogger said he was struggling a little more this year. So why make this deal? The Sabres will find someone else maybe from LA, Vancouver, Anaheim, or possibly Minnesota to fill the defensive void.

what does that say about Tim Murray

not that I agree

I think it was part the D, part coaching, part goalie could not make a save in shoot out

- homiedclown

It says he was far more of a disaster than people are willing to admit

because the teams you mentioned will not move a d-man with Hanifin's ceiling. On top of that, has reinhart been better than Hanifin? They've both had 2 solid years in the nhl.

neither are disasters. Kane just doesnt make sense for this team long term.

**you dont pay 40 point players who are oft injured 6 mil long term**

Reinhart for Hanifin is a hockey trade, doesnt make reinhart a disaster

Thats cause hes playing like a bottom pairing guy. Search for mediocrity on the blueline should be dead with new management.

# of 50 point seasons:

Okposo: 4

Kane: 1

Player who can play at both ends of the ice:

Okposo: yes

Kane: LOL

The fact that you think Okposo falls in this category should make you want kane less. we already have one guy being paid too much, why do you want two?

Receiver Jeremy Maclin may still travel to Baltimore on Wednesday, but he won’t be there on Wednesday morning.

Via Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News, Maclin’s visit with the Bills has extended to a second day.

The news first came from running back LeSean McCoy, who posted video of Maclin in the team’s weight room on Wednesday morning with the caption, “Signing players daily.” The video was later taken down, but it could just be a matter of time before we hear that Maclin is a Bill.

A team source separately told Carucci that Maclin has remained in Buffalo overnight.

Cut by the Chiefs on Friday, Maclin officially became a free agent at 4:00 p.m. ET on Monday. He can sign with any team. Prior reports indicated he’d visit the Ravens after visiting the Bills.
