Actually for a draft that's supposed to be weak, the first round and first part of the second doesn't seem to be to bad! but their going to be a few players that slip the the cracks and make some scouting departments look really stupid! and that's where I have confidence that we'll be ok! lol, I really hope Hunter and his team draft the (or one of)the steals in this draft

would be nice to hit on this one, just get another NHL player.

Last year was easy, once WPG took Laine ..Auston was all ours

I'm having trouble locating the made-for-tv-movie, but here's a CBC news show clip of the life of Spinner:

Not for the faint of heart.

Could be.

Could also be that he’s a 22 year-old kid who had a hard time adjusting to life in a new country, not speaking the language and missing is wife and family. Could also have something to do with benning trying to change the terms of his contract on him and playing for a loser team that is getting worse.

Canucks are in a desperate situation (my opinion). Trymakin either didn't get the kind of help/environment he needed or wanted... Leafs should offer a later round pick for Trymakin's rights... they have a couple of other Russian guys on the roster, and its a young roster... Trymakin could be made to feel welcome.

Canucks would be dumb to turn down a prospect or draft pick for him (again, my opinion).

From what I understand it's not weak, only weak in that it doesn't have a mcdavid or Matthews at the top.

yeah, seems like it's getting a little overblown about a weak draft. i'm sure they'll be a number of good players, like a typical year.

but it does seem like there is not a lot of consensus on players 3-20.

nucks might be better to hold on to him. idk, maybe benning's succesor can lure him back.
