Nothing is happening in Vancouver until:
A. The Sedins reitre or are traded
B. They can get rid of horrible contracts like Loui Eriksson's
C. They find their #1 goalie
D. They get a legitimate coach

They've made some progress getting younger and have a few solid prospects, but they're still a ways away from making any real noise.

Their #1 problem?... They haven't fully committed to the rebuild. Teams like Pittsburgh and Chicago retool, Vancouver simply isn't there.

What could possibly go wrong

Eberle and Puljujarvi for Tanev and 2nd + 3rd round picks.

Could be Benning. Now i'm not saying that Benning is a smart man, but some of the things going on in Vancouver reek of ownership sticking his wiener where it don't belong.

Some much 2013 Leafs going on there.. GM failing to recognize the team is junk and wont compete with patch work and hail mary signings like that

I find it troubling that you hold onto them to begin with

Vancouver had a nice trade deadline last season.

If they could somehow trade the Sedins for future assets, it would be ideal.... but it's not going to be easy.

- Scabeh

they still need a future 1C, 1D and 1G; you know, the easy pieces to get.

losing the russian to a league that players are fleeing and teams are folding in is quite telling in the direction the team is going.

Theoretically, it COULD work if their high draft picks are all hits and compete for spots on the team now.

I agree jim make great moves, especially with dalhen! And if I was them I'd trade the twins at deadline hold half salery take back a contract?for a top pick and prospects? Not easy but could be done?

Maybe he just wants to play in a place where he can forcibly confine women and throw them into TVs like Slava Voynov

It seems every single mock draft and ranking has the Laffs taking Juuso Välimäki at 17
- TheMussel

He'll be available, but I would like to see one of Suzuki, Liljegren or Foote one of them might slip to 17.

Could be.

Could also be that he’s a 22 year-old kid who had a hard time adjusting to life in a new country, not speaking the language and missing is wife and family. Could also have something to do with benning trying to change the terms of his contract on him and playing for a loser team that is getting worse.

well, nucks needed to do more to ease the transition to north american life.

we haven't had any of the pieces since sudin and belfour. as much as it came together in the last year, it's been a long build up, and we're still short a piece.

Agreed with the first part but their going to have growing pains for sure! We've had them for a long time! And were not there yet! Remember ? and their just a couple of years removed from the playoffs

The Coyotes and their fans were insanely hyped over that trio to go along with a 21 year old OEL. Pretty sure you'll have to give me this one dog, like, don't you think I'd know?

Either way, to address your question from the Flyers you'd want Couturier, Provolov and two firsts. This includes the #2 overall pick.
