Chia being nominated validates our opinion. Stop being a tard... Actually, you know what... Continue being a tard, it doesn't matter... None of this matters

CHodarelli could take a huge dump on your chest and you would call the steamer the best prospect to ever come out of Cleaveland.

What's funny is you gays want Chia to win it because you feel it somehow validates your opinion.
Me? I enjoyed the season. I do not see a Stanley Cup winning roster yet.

- Larsson_fan

I want him to win becasue I saw him take over a team that was consistently hovering around the 68 point range. After 2 years at the helm the team has completely revamped the defense and a good portion of the forward line up also. Those moves propelled the team to 100+ point season. So I would like to see him get some recognition for the positive stuff he has done.

No roster is a Stanley Cup winning roster...until it is, and even Stanley Cup winning rosters get changes made to them.

So until they win, they haven't and obviously there are tweaks needing to be made.

Normally I would agree and if Chiarelli could get value for anything I would say trade but he can't. What do you think we could get for the 22nd pick? We got Griffin Reinhart for the 16th and 2 second round picks in a deeper draft.

This year there are great picks available at 22. Its a no brainer. Chiarelli can't get value for the pick but he may be does like to pick big guys in a draft and in this case the big guys are the good ones in the late first round.

Center Micheal Rasmusen 6'6 215 lbs has 55 pts in 50 games in the WHL
RW Owen Tipit 6'0 200lbs had 77 pts, 44 goals in 59 games in the OHL - he makes the list due to his amazing ability to score. Considered a "pure sniper" this kid has great hockey sense and can pick apart goalies like no one else in the draft class.
D Conor Timmins 6'1 had 61 pts in 67 games int the OHL
C Morgan Geekie 6'2 had 90 pts in 72 games in the WHL
This is my favorite but he fell in the TSN rankings:
Matthew Strome LW 6'4 206lbs had 62 points, 34 goales in 66 games with Hamilton
I also like:
Jason Robertson who got tanked by TSN. Ranked high by Central Scouting and several others though.
He is a LW 6'2 192 lbs 81pts, 42 goals in 68 games for Medicine Hat

There are numerous others that could slide. The rankings from 10 to 30 have huge variations depending on where you are looking. ISS and SC are off by a bunch on some interesting players.

If I thought the Oilers could get a player for the pick I would be for it but I think we all know they will package it in with someone that doesn't need the extra value like Nuge or Eberle and get nothing of value in return. Take the pick. Then fire Chiarelli. Or do those the other way around. I am not picky.

hmmmm... had the refs not gift wrapped the Ducks series we would all be singing a different tune.... I felt the Oilers team when on their game could go toe to toe with any of them... and for the most part they did... What does a cup looking team have that the oilers didnt- luck or refs in back pocket?

haha true....it's just a god awful comparison. The Flames literally got Dougie Hamilton for similar value but he chooses the Reinhart trade to value the 22nd pick

Well Boston just wanted to stick it to Chia- but why Chia felt inclined to follow through with a trade anyway when he didnt get the dman he wanted- and took advice from Green and the other Oiler dippoops is beyond many- to date its been an epic fail...

Adding to the defense will be a lot more costly than most imagine..think
Jordan Eberle + 22OA for Alec Martinez

Jesse Puljujarvi for Jake Muzzin +/Alec Martinez ++

Both these guys likely allow the Oilers to advance at least another round in the POs when you add in further maturation from the young core..
