Danault was dealt because he couldn't beat out the team's #2C and the team's #3C.
He was slotted essentually as a #2 in Montreal and had some success surrounded by good players–which is no huge surprise because he has always been able to produce when surrounded by offensive producers. - John Jaeckel
Are you sure you have the right name here JJ?
Sounds like a guy who can only produce when surrounded by 2 of either Brandon Saad, Patrick Sharp, Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane. Any other NHL schlubs need not apply and if you do, you better be Green-approved. |

They were all good likes and the Hawks won a cup with each of them.
I don't think Handzus was that great, he just played very well in the 2013 Cup run.
Anisimov isn't the hindrance you think he is. If you think Anisimov should be traded for cap reasons or to restructure the team that's fine. But that doesn't mean Anisimov should be needlessly criticized for things that are not true. AA is a 2C and he's paid exactly like a 2C. He gets injured often and isn't good on faceoffs, but he plays well between Kane and Panarin and he's a solid net-front presence. - DarthKane
Other teams will dictate AA's value. One - I hope he is moved. Two - I hope you are right and Hawks get a good return but I just don't see it happening.

AA does not make Kane and Panarin better. Actually he is an anvil. Too slow and loses face-offs. The line never gets possession in the offensive zone. I trade him now in a heartbeat. If he stays he should play wing. Additionally, any value he has is completely compromised by being hurt constantly. Let him be someone else's problem. - Z3Hawk
If you are right then who in the world would take on his contract and/or what would Stan need to add to sweeten the deal? |

Probably Kane, Schmaltz and Hartman...for starters. |

Maybe if Stan retains 50% of Kane's salary and throws in this year's 1st round pick. |

Seriously...if Anisimov is as bad as you say he is then who would take him? Construct a deal for us. |

Stan is waiting for the Malkin trade to so through, then he'll announce the Sharp signing. |

Brutal injury-- gotta give the players and coaches of the Preds a lot of credit for their resilience and commitment--I'm just not a fan of the fans antics-- YOU SUCK YOU SUCK - jb3333
That's my least favorite thing about going to Nashville. I've been there for every Hawks' game the last two regular seasons, as well as a handful of other games. Everything that happens after the Preds score a goal is horrible. Their goal song (I like it, I love it), the fan's chants during the song (Hey, you suck), and the goalie taunting (It's all your fault! It's all you fault) just show how low class their fans are. It reminds me of the old expression: Act like you've been there before.
As a side note, I love the city, and will get to attend my first ever SCF game this coming Sunday. I really hope the series ends in 6 games (either way), because I'd love to see the presentation of the Stanley Cup in person. |

They HAVEN'T been there before.
Let them have some fun - it's not something serious, it's a hockey game.
Perhaps we sophisticated Chicago hockey fans should act more like WE'RE having fun - like they are. |

I would love the hawks to get manson would give the hawks something they need despertly. Trade kruger and tvr to vegas for a 2nd and 3rd then move those picks and prospect (pokka) for manson and kerdiles. Thoughts anyone would that trade benefit both teams value for value. I could see manson becoming top 4 d man a meaner version of prakyo |

Should we also start chanting "You Suck" at the opposing team (minus Detroit of course)? How about we check everyone's CC address and if they're from Nashville forbid them from buying a ticket? Sorry not sorry, Nashville is a joke and I hope the Pens pull these next few games out and the Preds remain cup-less. |

Hearing Leafs have offered Leipsic+Rychel+2nd in 2018 (SJS) for J. Manson. Ball in Ducks court. - jt19
2 minor leaguers and a pick about 50th in 2018. Rychel couldn't make the Blue Jackets or the Leafs because he can't skate. Sounds like a Lou Lamoriello offer. Even the Hawks can offer better than that. |

They haven't scored a regular season goal before? Obviously, they've never been to the SCF. They do this EVERY time they score a goal (at least since Dec 2015 when I saw my first game there). I love what they're doing in the playoffs in regards to having a different country music star singing the National Anthem, and having a free concert in front of Bridgestone Arena before the game. I just think some of the stuff is bush league.

I agree with the whole Nashville fans and the "You Suck" thing. Fans did that to the other team's goalies when I worked for the Sioux Falls Stampede over 10 years ago. I hated it then and that was when "my team" was doing it. It is old, unoriginal, and completely played out by now. You can cheer all you want, but have some class. In fact, as a team I like the Preds a lot more then the Penguins. However, after after hearing the crowd and their BS antics, I am actually going for Sidney Crosby - I never thought I would say that. |
