What about Reinhart and a 2nd for Manson and a 1st or Brodin and a 1st
Then McCabe and 8th overall for Drouin is it enough?
Then find a guy who can fill into that 2nd pairing role in FA (or with that pick in the 20's) with Antipin while Guhle plays with Bogo on the 3rd pairing?

That still give the Sabres a draft pick in this years first

They would leave with Drouin, Brodin/Manson, and whomever they pick in the 20's

Losing only McCabe, Reinhart and 8th overall

Keep Kane

Move Reinhart for a top pairing guy

Try like hell to get Drouin out of Tampa (not gonna be cheap I don't think we have the pieces to make it happen but play along) Does McCabe and 8th overall get it done?

Reinhart for Brodin or Manson?

Drouin Eichel Okposo
Kane ROR Bailey/Baptiste
Ennis Girgensons Bailey/Baptiste
Moulson Larsson Carrier

Risto Player X
McCabe (If not traded for Drouin) Antipin
Guhle Bogo
Gorges

- Stripes77

At this point, I'd say that's a slim chance of happening.

I think he's moved for a D man from LA. Add either way

I still think this whole he's being moved thing is blown out of proportion a bit. Almost every article I've read was teams calling Buffalo about him and not the other way around.

He is the most polarizing player in Buffalo for sure, but if he comes in and says he only wants a slight pay bump and 5-6 years you would think he would stay in Buffalo.

I still think his contract demands are what ultimately makes the decision whether to keep him or not.

He either wants to stay in Buffalo or not..... that's the deciding factor. My guess is he does not.

I think it's just common sense to move him at this point.

They made their choice last year when #21 was signed.

You aren't going to pay your 2nd line 20 million in today's NHL, and if you expect Kane to be on your top line you are setting yourselves up for question marks.

Good player, but bottom line is he's averaged 39 points over two years here, and even less than that over the past 4 years combined.

You just can't justify a 6 mil deal for him. Let another GM make that mistake

putting tanev with mccabe would allow mccabe to take on a more offensive/puck mover role.

You're adding a very good d-man and potentially turning another d-man from a #4 into a #3. Could be worth the price. Good cap hit too

kane
.46666 points per game even strength as a sabre (last 2 years)

ror
.4615 points per game even strength as a sabre (last 2 years)

sam reinhart
.3924 points per game even strength as a sabre (last 2 years)

jack eichel
.4788 points per game even strength as a sabre (last 2 years)

my guess is if you based it on points per 60 minutes even strength it would shake out

1. kane
2 eichel
3. reinhart
4. ror

At 10:34 this morning, something beautiful happened. A moment crystalized, an urge went unchecked, an impulse overwhelmed rational thought, and an author pressed "Submit."

Last two years in all situations

Kane-

Goals- 46th
Assists - 291st
Points- 160th

This is a average 2nd line player since he's been a Sabre. You don't give long term deals for the above
