I said forever ago that my buddy's uncle who's friends with Mario and close to the Pens' brass said that Fleury to Vegas was a done deal. Not a super reliable source, but he gets more credible if this actually goes through.

I recall you saying that, my little alt... but that rumor was floating around as well at the same time

Dude ranks Hainsey as the top deadline deal. HAHAHA

What an awful deadline day it was then.

What are the odds that IF the Pens win the Cup that Crosby hands the Cup
A. to Fleury First!
B. Then Fleury hands it off to Murray

I think A is possible, but B is unlikely.

- so_buzz11

That would be my guess as well. Give MAF the Cup first and send him out a winner. Two more wins guys. Two more.

So how will Nashville play game 3? Are they going to risk taking penalties & play on an edge & try & intimidate the Pens or will they not risk anything & try & play hard & fast?

If they play hard & fast, do they have the firepower to score enough goals - forget about their goalie because if we score 4/5 goals it probably won't matter how they play??

So is it going to be a rough & tumble event filled ball tearer or a hard & fast run & gun spectacular??

Does Nashville have the ability to win games with the D corp that is the envy of the entire league??

Wouldn't surprise me if Rutherford brought in a vet backup just to have more depth, especially after how the last 2 playoffs have went.

Look, there is no way with this D that we would be 2-0 without Murray. Just sayin'.

I could see that if he wasn't a strong goalie but he is still very capable. I think he would be the #1 in a ton of cities. Like I am sure he would control the net in Winnipeg, Arizona, or Philly; and all of those teams are going to be a lot stronger than an expansion team for years to come.

IDK, for me I just like winning to much haha.

- IrischesGlueck

There doesn't seem to be all those options. Wish there were, I just don't hear about many contenders needing a goalie. Teams like Winnipeg and Arizona have their own young guys they would rather play. Mayne someone is lurking though. For how well he's handled his demotion I would like to think the Pens try to send him where he wants.

Maybe not the Flyers though.

Too fast for you? If they're loose, they have a hole that needs filling - the more the better (net & pucks people, pucks pucks & more pucks.......)

I love Guentzel, I see a huge future for him and I couldn't be happier for the kid. But, after all of the media he is doing the last few days, is his natural expression one of bewilderment? He always looks confused. Not saying he is, he did earn a degree while in school, but he's adorably always looking like someone just figured out his deepest darkest secret.

Plays like he's 32!

Edit: that might not be a good thing considering his career will be over at 29 according to analytics.

The Preds will play their dirtiest game of the year -- keep an eye on Neal & Subban -- and dare the refs (who will not rise to the challenge in front of that "intimidating" crowd) to call even 10% of the penalties they deserve.
