You realize part of his shot is how quickly he can get off a fast and accurate shot?

Obviously. All I am saying is if they just hung out in practice firing shots, you'd be surprised how close they are. Which is true.

What is this opinion based upon?

Have you ever attended a Capitals practice?

How could you possibly come to this conclusion?

What is the basis behind this statement? The basis I'm using for believing that you're opinion on this is ridiculous is watching both players shooting the puck in game situations.

But the Caps are the best during the 82 game practice session that leads up to the games that actually count.

You don't even need to watch the practices.

You just need to study the advanced practice stats.

I think that if you hung out with Jay Beagle and Ovechkin and watched them navigate cones unimpeded by other players, I doubt there is as big a difference as you think.

Completely. It's hard to navigate cones when you just stand the circle waiting to blast a slap shot.

James, you repeat once again that the Caps are "the best team in the NHL" and simply unlucky in the playoffs, then go on to list several ways that you'd improve the team, from replacing Trotz to giving Ovechkin a better winger and more ice time. If they're the "best team in the NHL" and simply unlucky, why change anything? Changing something might inadvertently make them a worse team and, if they're just unlucky, then their luck should change if they just keep doing the same thing. If you really believed that they're the best team and only unlucky, you'd be advocating not changing a thing. You're trying to have it both ways, though. You want to believe that they're the best team because that would validate your hockey theories while also wanting to show how you would do things differently as GM. You're not consistent.

"I think Trotz is the most over-rated coach in the...."

WTF?!?!!

Whatever the opposite of a mic-drop is, that's what you've done. I think you write these outlandish opinions just to get comments or something because I think next to no one agrees with you.

You are pretty much are the Donald Trump of bloggers.

1) Aside from never admitting you're wrong when people clearly prove you're wrong, you'll argue around their point without ever acknowledging the valid point they've made.

2) You seem to get some sort of weird enjoyment from telling people their wrong, stupid, moronic, etc... The hockeybuzz is far from writing for an actual publication of any sort, but you do not carry yourself with any sort of professionalism.

3) It's either your way or it's wrong. The frequency in which you tell people how you know more, you're smarter than or just have a better understanding is frankly troubling.

4) You throw temper tantrums.

5) You're not nearly as smart or educated as you like to portray.

Just because EK has allowed you to be a blogger on here doesn't make you an expert in any sense of the word. Actually, the fact he has you as a blogger puts into question his hiring abilities.

Remember that stretch during the regular season when the Caps were dominating the entire league with all their super firepower and winning all those games in February and March? Me neither.

If you look at the stats, he didn't decline at all. His shooting percentage, which he has zero control over,

WTF?

So then every player in the league is the same and it is all out of their control?
