So thats only true for Crawford? - ridiculous statement...
- riozzo

It is...cause it wasn't serious. At least from me anyway, though I've heard others make the argument and I would agree, it's ridiculous.

Thought the gif helped make my point, but apparently not.

Maybe we should look to steal some scouts or development coaches, particularly from the Preds:

6M for 6Y - as idiotic a contract as has ever been. And can we please stop talking about Crawford as an elite goalie - outside of Chicago Crawford is considered average at best. He had been schooled over and over again by other goalies. In the Nashville series there was one goalie Rinne and one sieve.
- Z3Hawk

define "over and over again" and by which goalies...

i guess your really in luv with Rask, Lundquist, Bobro and their contracts and performances...

your just one of those cc haters living off of 2012 phx series...get over it...its 2 cups 3 WC finals later...

Lets break this one down. How is being a 2x time Cup winning goalie and consistently one of the best (hes in the top 10 in the league) a bad contract? So who do you want instead? Would you rather have King Henrik's contract?

And what goalies was he schooled by? He wasn't the reason why the hakws lost in rd 1 to nashville. In fact he was arguably their best player. And Rinne didn't play lights out becahse he didnt have to.

Hind sight is 20/20 but I think Bowman let the Dent situation fester too long. Time will tell but I think we found a good one in Colliton.

What happen to JJ rumor about a core player being possibly traded? Second anyone hear what the status is on Rutta or any other European or juniors collage free agents signings? seabrook retain 1.3 mil per year for 5 years I believe his last 2 years his nmt comes off to Edmonton for rienhart and slepshev or pulijujarvia.

I just love you Crawford apologists. There is NEVER
a time when Crawford should out-duel the opposing goalie, find a puck through a screen, find a puck in a scrum, find a puck that flies high, find a puck from the point, not leave the top of his net available etc etc etc. The Hawks didn't win 2 Cups because of Crawford. Actually, it would have been another First Round loss if he hadn't been pulled one year. You Crawford apologists like to forget Hawks won the first recent Cup with Niemi. I guess Niemi was the reason that year too and also all-world. Rinne did play lights out - let nothing in. That he made it look easy doesn't mean it was. Crawford on the other hand made every shot look very hard. 6M - insane. 6Y - more insane.

Says the hockey fan that knows NOTHING about hockey.

Go back to whining about the Bears and Cubs - your lack of knowledge about hockey is old.

- dahawks8819

I know more about hockey than you'll ever know. I'm not actually a Cubs or Bears fan. Any hockey issue you wish to talk about feel free.

Yeah wonder about the assistant coach search too, Ul Samuelsson was supposedly the leading candidate (amongst anonymous candidates). That seams to have vaporized.

I hate Corey Crawford...... what other gm in in the league would pay him six million per?!?!? No one... of course he is going to reject any trade...

His two cups are a product of the teams in front of him..... Niemi won the cup

Digging on a rumor involving a core Hawk. Bit of a surprise if true, but not a huge one. Need to get secondary corroboration, would be kind of a big deal. Stay tuned.

This reads Campbell & Bickell for Seabrook & AA...that's how skewed that deal is..and to the.Corey Crawford hater who think the team in front Of him is the reason for success:
I suggest your u watch him in tight-one of the best when being attacked, as there are few who are better, cooler, or intensely focused as he is and a terrific battler in the blue paint area when they crash
