I'm telling you from the bottom down they are fine.

if you want to clean house then fine but Thompson and Cairns are far from the isles top 15 issues

Dan the whole thing is a NE Brotherhood. Get me some real hockey execs etc. finally.

I have reached my wits end with the same old same old BS.

How many prospects have come out of the soundtigers and have done well? It's their job to develop them and prepare them for the NHL game. That's the whole point of a farm team. What's the soundtigers record since Thompson has taken over? How many prospects has Cairns developed that have excelled in the NHL? This is what defines both Cairns and Thompson's performance. That's literally Cairns job title.

you look at the standings? they were 11th in the league in points I believe. you looking for a scapegoat, fine... noel and I sit in that arena and watch those practices and games.. they are run well.
- Dan Petriw

I'm glad the practices are run well. I used to run my teams practices well too.

It's about results, the Islanders miss by 1 point is that ok. Dougie runs a good practice so did Crappy.

I get you have relationships with The BP staff but as with your player grades, you need to be consistent.

if you think the organization needs new voices everywhere, then I can listen to that convo... as long as Snow is still employed, everything else pales in comparison. if you think the isles missed the playoffs by a point because of the staff in bport then I don't know where to go from here

I understand both sides of this argument. On one hand you have people who think the ISlanders failed because they dont know how to develop young prospects. /Then we have guys like you who say they are great in the AHL but it is up to the staff here to further their development. The way I look at it as an organization they have failed on so many levels. Not just developing these kids but no using them correctly when they are up with the big club. So in the end its the whole organization from the guys scouting to Bridgeport to the owners themselves. This whole organization has failed for years and it is time to clean house

Thompson wasn't the coach when Hamonic was a soundtiger save for a few games scott pellerin was. Same can be said for Cizikas, Lee and Martin. Lee played 5 games with him as head coach after getting sent down. Brock Nelson played one game with him when he was head coach. Hamonic played 21.

Heres the problem with this argument, they have done well in ahl preparing the players they've had down there. It's not their fault cappy sucked at his job and snow kept him nor is it their fault he kept halak down. Now we have a new staff coaching and weight can implement the system he sees fit this year so In that regard they did clean house. Weight has stated on nhl and tsn the last 2 days the importance of a new guy to help jt and the team win now so that's a positive. I for one would like to see what this coaching staff can do with this team now that cappy is gone. Now the main issue as always is that snow is still here and he's the one who either refuses or can't make a trade. Outside of snow I don't see a lot of people who need to go as they are already out the door

They played in the best division and should have been a playoff team, who won't let that many teams in from 1 division

Snow knowing that they are in a tough division then should have went out and got better. Which meant firing Cappy after the first month and getting us some grit and toughness which this team lacks. Also they lack speed which is the game today.

There are multiple huge issues with this club. Our prospect development is terrible which is an enormous problem with a rebuilding team. It hasn't gotten any better with Thompson and Cairns and I don't see proof of it. We can't use Strome and Nelson as shining examples of prospect development success and then lambast them in the next sentence.

I meant b port. So speaking of the AHL we just got the Devils farm team and my ticket rep calls me and says hey I know the Senators weren't very good the last few years but the Devils made the playoffs three of the last four years and they have the number one overall pick, who will be playing right here in Binghamton. I said oh really so you think Nico hischeir or nolan patrick are going to be playing here next year? to which he replied yes, to which I replied well first of all they'll go right to the NHL and second of all they won't be 20 years of age and can't play here and he said uh er can I call you next week lol

Nice to see the board jumping. It's been real quite. I do not watch Bridgeport so it hard to say what kind of job Thompson and Cairns have done. I watch all the Isles games so it's easy to tell Cappy was lousy and could not develop skill players. I would not be against cleaning house though. No offense to Thompson or Cairns.

Well said Cpt:thumbs up:
Also I think Cairns was a scout for the most part and only got the PD job recently.
