There are none on the market and they aren't gonna get a fair trade from Philly. They'd be dumb to trade Simmonds and unfortunately their GM is not dumb. So who do you get?

No way Simmer gonna play for Pens or Rangers. Would've been exactly what we needed this season...

Could be a dman, doesn't have to be a winger. Seems like it may be easier to find a tough 6th/7th dman, then it is to find a winger who can play with Sid.

Mark Madden mentioned trying to get a D also. He mentioned Deryk Engelland, I think he said he was a free agent. I didn't even mention this because, I didn't like Engo when he was with the Pens before, and I don't think he would fit well on the current Pens. Maybe Mark just liked him as a person since he knew/knows him?

You can't have Sestito or Engo playing in important games. That's why it doesn't work. I'm all for getting a couple of tougher guys, but they need to be able to play the game too. There's simply not a ton of players that fit the bill......and the ones that can play that roll are going to be expensive to get.

I understand some of it is "shtick", but Madden and me have a mutual friend and he says for the most part, what you hear is what you get in real life.

I literally asked my friend.... "c'mon, he can't be like that in real life?". And he said he pretty much is. He also said he's a good guy, but has no problem offering his opinion if he thinks you're an idiot.

I don't really respond to his "act", but I like the hockey talk. I wish he would dial it down a few notches.
