Ugh... Downie was not feared by anyone... dude was a 180 pounds... no one is afraid of him taking a run or swing at you. Simmonds could work as a deterrent moreso, and isn't a terrible player.


I STILL wish Downie would have stopped trying to be a tough guy and just played hockey... so much (frank)ing talent wasted.

That's my point. He thought he was tough and they basically said he will protect the stars while helping score if I remember right. Then he took far too many penalties and slid down the lineup.
