I guess its not right of us old timers, who lived through the wars with the Rangers in the 80s and 90s (and some of us in the 70s) to still hold that hatred close to the heart.


It reminds me of a conversation I had with my dad many years ago. He couldnt fathom my hatred of the Cowboys. He told me it was the Giants who were the Eagles' arch enemy.. the team to be hated beyond all others. Perhaps its a generational thing.

I guess its not right of us old timers, who lived through the wars with the Rangers in the 80s and 90s (and some of us in the 70s) to still hold that hatred close to the heart.

If the current standard is to beat the New York Rangers, we're not reaching high enough. This is like two families hanging on to a generational feud because one family built a fence two inches over another families' property back in the 18 hundreds.

I get hating the Rangers. I hate the Rangers but ignoring that the Flyers have other rivalries to uphold what they have against the Rangers is beyond ridiculous.
